Quadcopters and the like are generally fairly limited on flight time..10-20 min generally from what I've read. For your range, you might want to go with a air wing/rc plane..but diydrones would still be a good place to get up to speed on the capabilities.
That's really not that much...Raw DV (not even HD, mind you) is about 222 megabytes per minute. We archive the raw footage of our videos rather than down-converting it to DVD first so that we have the highest quality original source we can. Last time I checked we were only around one tape (50-60 minutes a tape) a month, even with major cuteness and milestones going on and with family 3000 miles away that want plenty of video updates posted.
So if he's keeping the raw format (which is the smart thing to do) 100gigs really isn't that much and to claim he's hiding behind the camera instead of interacting with his kid likely means you didn't bother to do the math first.
Since I don't have a HDTV, I just have my Tivo, DVD, etc all going into them. Whichever I turn on gets auto-switched to, be it the Tivo receiver, dvd player, or gamecube. They due great for me as far as ease of use. I have an older TV and I've found that these do a better job of downgrading S-video to Composite then my DVD players' internal converter, so I feed S-Video to them where possible.
Four of those little pink erasers (the ones shaped like a parallelogram) under the four courners of the laptop does a suprisinglly great job. It cut my cpu fan usage down by a good 80-90% for day to day usage.
If erasers are unavailable or you want less traction, mini-post it note pads work great as well. They may be preferred if you want to be able to slide the laptop out of the way when you're not using it.
ipchains isn't running. it's used before the halt to set the rules, and those rules simply aren't cleared out when the system switches to halted mode. but to make changes you'd need to run ipchains again, which would be another process, which can't happen with this configuration.
Those are some of the worst selections I ever expected, even from ICANN. One of the best reasons for new top level domains is that, in addition to more name space, it allows the opportunity for a bit of self-classification--much like.com,.net, and.org did originally.
[SARCASM].museum? there's a broad ranging area worthy of a TLD of its own.[/SARCASM] Yes, it's great that museums could have their own web identifier, sure. But it's simply not a big enough segment of the net population to warrant a TLD. Even if there are a million museums in the world that are registering I wouldn't consider it a big enough market.
The same arguement can be said for.aero, and probably for.coop.
.biz? ok, we need an alternative.com...but can we sound any more unprofessional. Let's be really catchy and groovy with our domain names! yeah, right. Which is going to seem more professional to you, company.biz or company.com?.bus would be better, and even that's not that good. there are plenty of better alternatives.
.pro? not really sure what its for..based on the company that submitted it i guess its for their own name recognition..but.pro[fessional] at least has some merit.
.name and.info. ok, i don't have a problem with those. they're much more along the lines of what we need.
.xxx,.kids,.web,.news(!),.radio,.hist,.art(!) (much better than.museum)...all of these would be able to be put to much better use than.aero and.museum. but no, we can't have.xxx, that would mean that we acknowledge that there's PORN on the web, and even (gasp!), provide a way to easily filter out a lot of it if one wanted to.
thanks for the link and sorry for the redundancy; i must have missed the previous story. i thought that moonlight 3d was at least still listed on freshmeat until much more recently than the last time the question was asked, but i could be mistaken.
at least that's what they're saying as the official projection..enough for both candidates to make speeches. he got florida.
i can't believe i watched that much tv just to find out that he won..at least it was close.
we're now stuck with a Republican controlled Senate, House, and Presidency.
NERC (the North American Electric Reliability Council) says that we should be able to meet the eletrical demands for the upcoming season in most areas in North America.
They do say that New England, New York, and California are areas of concern though.

I'm pretty sure this is the graphics system the Phantom console is going to use.
Scott Hanselman has a couple of posts that are very similar to what you're looking for and easy to setup.

Definitely not ultimate, but for my old consoles, I have a couple of these daisy chained together:= 15270&I=158SBV55A

There might be options with more inputs and component support there as well:

I'm waiting for a Tivo unit with a DVD/R built-in.
wait no longer: pioneer makes one
and you could just burn a CD-R full of jpegs of fine art and throw it in the dvd player...
There are a number of articles and how-to's on just about every aspect of TVs including flat-panels and HDTV over at www.crutchfieldadvisor.com.
I would start with the Choosing a TV learning center article and check out the HDTV Center as well.
(Disclaimer: I am associated with Crutchfield, but there's honestly some of the best information anywhere located there)
it's very easy to detect what version the viewer has. and as for more concrete information about the 98.3% figure:

it's in /pub/netscape6/english/6.0/ (for english speakers);
choose your platform, then go to the sea/ subdirectory. (Self Extracting Archive?).
The Wednesday news posting at Penny Arcade has Tycho's experiences with the MS GameVoice. He's pretty impressed with that one as well.
