    Actually, There is a variant of the standard Litestep, called "litestep Now!" that is easier to install and looks more like windows, i don't have a link though.

    My fonts actually look pretty damned good. I guess I have a TrueType Server. I think Linux looks so very much better than Windows. Infact, most Unix flavors can look pretty great, the secret is, that you decide how your computer is going to look. If you like WindowMaker, then you use it, and if you like Enlightenment, you use that, and there are a myriad of other choices.

    And then there are Font Servers, accelerated X servers, desktop environments, GTK themes, etc, etc, etc.

    And then there is the CLI...

    I hope the fact that Corel is Using WINE doesn't mean that The non-wordperfect apps in the Office Suite run in a FSCKed up emulation. Thatr is basically the reason why StarOffice is SOOOOO slow.

    Anyway, never used WINE before...

    Good point. I wish my Atipa PC (the one I use at home) Didn't come with all that server stuff pre-installed. Oh well.

    I also, don't want all that dumbed-down crap. I guess that makes me an "intermediate" user. Not quite a sys-admin, not quite a windows luser...

    ahh, the joys of mediocrity.

    Fragmentation is to get Linus to support the LSB or a similar effort. Then, announce that no company o organization that produces a distro would have to comply with the LSB (or other) in order to used the name "Linux" (which he owns the trademark for.) Then everyone would comply, because they need the name to get the buzzword status.
