  1. The oil industry would never allow it. on Hydrogen-Powered Aircraft == Anti-Terrorist Device? · · Score: 0

Lets face it, oil is the root of the terrorist attacks on the US. America wouldn't give a shit about the Middle East if we weren't dependent on the oil from there. The oil corporations basically dictate the types of governments that run the countries over there. That is why there is so much anti-American sentiment in the middle east.

  2. Pulling out of Israel? on Stallman: Thousands Dead, Millions Deprived of Liberties · · Score: 1, Insightful

It is my opinion that if we no longer supported Israel, all terrorism against the US would stop. Israel is absolutely hated by all the other Middle Eastern countries. And our support of Israel is why they hate us as well.

If we were to stop providing support for Israel, Israel would cease to exist within 1 year. Every other middle eastern country would attack it.

You don't realize the hatred towards Israel by the other countries in that region.

Go back to your hole you RIAA Troll!

But the whole purpose of MP3, Ogg Vorbis, ATRAC and all these other digital music compression algorithms is to make it easier/more cost effective for people to steal the music they want, rather than pay for it.

Give me a fscking break. The purpose is to record your cd's onto your computer without using up all the space on it. Personally, I'd like to just have everything saved as a .wav file but when a .wav file typically is about 50MB in size, there's only so many songs you can store on your hard drive.

    Long live Debian!

  5. The Drug Testing in the Olympics is unbelievable on Drug Testing For Olympic Chess Players? · · Score: 0

I take Claritin for my allergies. Claritin is considered an illegal drug in the Olympics. They are extremely paranoid in the Olympics. But then again, countries continue to abuse the drugs. It used to be the Soviet bloc countries, lately its been the Chinese in swimming and track and field.

I think it would be hilarious to see some Chess 'nerd' get banned from the Olympics for testing positive for Human Growth Hormone. That would definitely put Chess on ESPN!

  6. Re:That's not the reason, either on Who'll Be Using Ogg Vorbis Instead Of MP3? · · Score: 0

I totally agree. Any free publicity for Microsoft is good publicity. Notice these articles NEVER said what systems Code Red wouldn't affect, just that Code Red WOULD affect Microsoft systems. Microsoft is the master of marketing. They know how the American people are. We like snippets of information and news. We don't want to read the whole story, just the headlines. All we really got out of all this were the following:

worm, computer, microsoft, windows 2000, patches

Where was Sun's marketing dept? They should have been talking to the press as well.

Of course back in the late 80's, beer was still sold on campuses.

Plus as governor, he made Virginia the 3rd most imported state for trash. What a legacy!
