i've owned (and presently own a GR-707 minus the controller electronics) a GR-707 and the 700.. it's basically a Roland Juno synth using the guitar as it's controller..
i really don't think that it's the same as the Gibson setup..
useless.. until they have a networked Eventide.. it's hard enough already setting up a big rack, and now you'll have to telnet into your guitar to setup patches on your rack effects.. whoo, a 20 channel networked amp.. oh brother..
if Gibson would get back to making high quality guitars, instead of ignorant gimmicks, they might actually start selling them.. instead of suckering the unknowing and losing future sales..
if you want a real guitar at a decent price, buy a Dean..
i'm very tired of these ignorant encroachments on my personal freedoms.. i am NOT willing to give up ANY freedoms for ANY reason..
too many of us have died in conflicts with a real reason to secure the freedoms that are presently being swindled away..
even though this is a small issue of model rocketry, the legislation is too broad and will permeate every last strand of our personal and professional lives..
all these patriotic asswipes with the bumper stickers that state "United We Stand.." totally forget the last part of that statement..
"Divided We Fall.."
i'm not afraid at all.. and now i cannot live the life that i had prior to the Patriot Act, Homeland Security, the pending Patriot Act-II.. and other deep rapes into my/our freedoms..
the recording companies are just fighting to keep the barrier of entrance high.. that's all there is to it.. and they are using the MP3 "debacle" to rape the consumer..
CDs have reverted to 1984-5 prices.. start looking at the "non-sale" discs, they are all 17.99.. eighteen bucks for a disc, with usually 2 or 3 tracks that are good and the rest is filler..
eventually, it will all crumble.. there will be an Enron-type fallout..
returning the H1-B visa issue rate to pre `98 levels are a good idea.. it still allows H1-Bs to be issued, but cleans the marketplace up..
how many expired H1-B visa holders are still working here from previous years??
it's sad that this has all come to this, but the economy is in the toilet.. no matter who is really to blame, it just sucks.. and most likely, it will never be the same as it was before..
even if all the H1-B visas are revoked, and they are all out of the country, companies will still try to pay 20K for a 50K job.. how long will it take for the payscale to come back up?? and, will there really be anymore jobs?? or will they just try to get double the work out of a single worker for 3/4 full pay??
i refuse to shop at Kroger's, or it affilliates.. these "voluntary" privacy intrusions are going to become more bold, and then it will be the norm.. same service, but yet a new way of tracking your every movement..
will rectal prints be the norm in public restrooms??
they can have my prints.. from my dead, cold hands..
could it be that the cd manufacturers are using higher speed duplicators and media, and this is what is causing the incompatibility between older and recent cd players that do not conform to thier duplicators/media??
i'm not saying that they aren't trying to institute DRM.. but could it just be flaky players/drives and the media that they are trying to read??
yea, what these people did was quasi-illegal, there is a larger agenda happening under the guise of legality..
uncap a modem and get shafted.. i wonder what would happen if all the Buckeye Cable subscribers uncapped all their modems?? would they round up all the soccer-moms and kids in a FBI paddy wagon??
i afraid that this is going to be the norm under the present socio-political conditions that we are under..
will they (FBI) invoke the new Homeland Security Law and put them in jail for life??
i use my 2100u daily. what most people don't seem to understand, the NewtonOS is pen-centric.
unlike WinCE, and to a lesser degree, Palm. the Palm is nothing more than a very sophisticated organizer. and WinCE has been a bad experience in ms's attempt to build an imbeddible windows. WinCE has matured, but it lacks pen-intergration to the same level that NewtonOS has. and Transcriber(Calligrapher) is in no way near what Rosetta has done.
Palm is just weak, between the screen size, the resolution, and the color problems, and grafitti. but they try to make up for it with quantity, the apps, the handhelds.
the Newton and the NewtonOS has always been so far ahead of it's time. i thought that after "Der Furer" S. Jobs had discontinued it, that it's useful lifespan would be about 3 years. thinking that wince or palm (or someone) would eventually evolve or invent something that would eclipse the Newton.
the only viable handheld that i can see that has the chance to *possibly* do this is the Sharp Zaurus. but yet, there is no HWR for it. until there is a really good HWR for it, i'm not letting go of my Newton.
from the outside, you can't understand it.. and from the inside, you can't explain it..
lacrosse is actually the national sport of canada..
i wonder if they are willing to jam all canadian lacrosse games, to prevent terrorism in canada.. because, most middle-eastern terrorists are avid lacrosse players and fans.. (a little known fact.)
i think that if they cut small holes in the net, that this would be a very effective way to disrupt terrorist play.. and if a few spectators are hurt from the ball, so be it.. it has stopped the cross-checking, fast-passing play that the terrorists love..
but, then again, they could cut large holes in the goal nets.. and this would prevent any major scoring that the terrorists could attempt..
wow, had we only known..
had our intelligence community gathered and properly interpreted the information on canadian lacrosse, and the angry band of terrorist players.. serious scoring could have been prevented..
it's amazing how well Dvorak's articles work for constipation..
every time i read one, i wanna take a big dump..

hack a box and go down for life..
ISO is a measurement of light sensitivity.. not resolution..
"lack of noise".. WTF??
what these hack journalists don't seem to understand is, IBM is producing the actual chips for Apple.. NOT Motorola..
all this disinformation is unreal..
the MHz myth is a marketing ploy.. look at what intel did with the P-ratings.. and what AMD is presently doing with their speed ratings..
i'd rather have a 20MHz cpu that does 100 functions per clock cycle, than a 2GHz cpu that does a quazi-4 functions per tick..
if Apple increased the FSB speed, everything would be fine.. a 333 or 400MHz FSB would be such a heavy improvement over the present bus speeds..
this will all be ironed out when Apple uses the POWER4 architecture in the G5..
so what.
it's not a Newton.

Newton.
well, seeing that most of you are shit-eatin' cretins, one would never expect you to understand the Newton.
i don't care what the majority of you knuckle-draggin', fecal-dancing idiots use.
quantity doesn't disprove quality.
obvious troll..

stop lacrosse, and you stop terrorism..
this is cool..
holy batshit.. batman..
someone released the code for windows...
and all of this is due to the rampant cretinism spilled on to the net, begat from the ever-flowing wellspring of fecal matter that is MSFT..
i, for one, am highly offended at the nature of this post..
i DEMAND that his N.A.M.B.L.A. membership be revoked, in full.. dammit..
hahaha, you really ARE a stupid bastard, aren't you??
i was using CP/M way before you knew what DOS was..
ahhh, weez talkin ta MassaDOSfOO, 'yo dope DoS SkIlLz4367, eh..
and i'm sure your still using EDLIN, or Debug, right??
typical shit-for-brains win-cretin.. take your 6.22/win3.x smack somewhere else, little buddy..
and as for being a Mac Commie..
I'm Big Daddy Stalin to you, dipshit..
Better Red than a win-cretin..

back it up with fact, cretin..
i don't see dell offering a DV desktop package, ready to go like Apple does..
nor IBM, nor HP/Compaq, nor Gateway..
just who's peecees and DV packages are you talking about??
i'll get a life when you dig your head out of your ass..
right on..
