They most likely aren't talking about reapers. Just some dumbass with 1200 bucks who doesn't really understand what kind of shit storm this causes for people who are trying to fly similar aircraft in a legitimate manner.

Actually, for pure coding, no local hardware (other than a laptop) involved, I should say I prefer a dark room with a hammock. They're super comfortable for everything.

Stepping back is super helpful. I find that moving to a different location is beneficial in boosting sagging productivity, because it clears your head a little bit, although I realize this isn't a viable option in most corporate settings. It also helps with the distractions, as no one can find you. I think nighttime is a useful coding time not only because no one else is around, but because I can turn down the lights and focus on the code. It's unfortunate that all devs don't have an office with which they can dim the lights and just focus. And a coffee machine.

  6. Clarification on Man Killed By His Own Radio-Controlled Helicopter In Brooklyn · · Score: 1

To clarify, the TFV WASN'T the vehicle that killed him. The TFV featured a 300mm (Motor to motor. The propellers are much smaller, probably around 8 inches) multirotor that wouldn't do much more than a bad scratch if it hit you. The helicopter involved is a 600mm blade span traditional helicopter. The TFV is an inacuraccy of sloppy reporting by someone who doesn't know the difference. It's safe to assume that with the style of flying Roman was doing, he didn't have a camera on board, nor would the footage be on YouTube yet.
