    If it was rendered with the in-game engine it probably rendered at 5 fps. The output was recorded and then payed back in realtime.

    Think back to trying to play glquake with the software opengl renderer.

    Intel has basically been stuck at this clockspeed for nearly 3 years. The executives have to be getting extremely nervous. The last 6 months haven't been paticularly kind to Intel's stock either INTL.

    If this continues much longer look for some major shakeups.

    Bear in mind that this is the first generation that's been online out of the box.


    The Xbox has built in ethernet and the dreamcast had a modem and PPP.

    Our policy is to chuck a DLT if it's been dropped. (Actually I take it of the trash and sell it on EBay).

    But, I doubt the drive was actually destroyed. Tape drives, except for the heads, are actually fairly rugged. You should have taken it apart and fixed it.

    No it isn't. The only requirement is their consent if the nominee is to be confirmed. Your reading something that isn't there. The Senate can, and has throughout the history of the republic, just take a pass. In such a case the consent of the senate hasn't been obtained and the nominee can't be appointed. It's their perogative.

    The filibuster has nothing to do with the nominating process. The filibuster is not in the constitution. It is simply a gentleman's agreement in the Senate. When one party abuses such an agreement, they should expect it to be abandoned.

    In the law there are such things as due dilligence, and negligence. Some of these organizations need to get hit with a massive lawsuit in order for the message to be sent loud and clear.
