What really gets me, is this is all open sourced code. This means that a code audit would find this so-called back door, yes? I seriously doubt this so-called claim.
Throw this one out of court, under the heading of "Hello Moron???" Time to wake the f**k up & think a little bit here, or at least take some responsibility for your own actions...
This is one of the funniest things I've heard so far today. Let's be real here. Of course, I curse every time I go to the store too, paying outrageous prices for imported garbage...
Although I don't do any gaming on my Windows machine here at the office (Win7 x64), I rarely exceed 50% usage of my installed RAM (4GB). Running a lot of ssh terminals, browser, email & skype...
I've been in the IT field for a little over 20 years. I still get asked to take the tests, it's really no big deal to me. While they can be a little annoying at times, I still take them.
If they get too annoying for you, write the answers in hexadecimal...;)
I wonder if the same goes true for those who download music / movies on military time?
The logic at this point would be, is that since you are serving active duty in the military, you are basically "government property". Since the government is not held liable for DMCA issues, then you are not either, like in this situation.
As far as I know, music played in private, for your own personal enjoyment, is not subject to *any* payment of royalties. Only those made in public, and usually those of a commercial nature.
Since your house was a previous licensed premises, I think all of that gets dismissed since it is no longer a commercial establishment in nature.
Tell em to kiss off, in my opinion. If they insist, I'd charge them back a monthly fee...
I had the same thing recently here, as well. Your ISP will need to update the info in arin, and specify the country were the ip block is currently listed. When I got my latest batch of IP blocks from RIPE, I did the same thing. Takes about 30 days or so for the GeoIP database to be updated, I think they do it once a month.
Once done, all should be ok. I was getting targeted ads for the period from which the netblock was assigned, all from The Netherlands. Give it a bit of time.
I would love to know what the term "Dubious Sources" means in the original article. My definition of course, would be the MPAA, RIAA, and what the hell, anyone I don't like.
Does that mean, if I get an **AA nastygram, I can then enforce the law back on the fucktards that originally sent to me? Someone really needs to throw the screws at these shitheads.
Why the hell is it the ISP's duty to stop file sharers? Defnitley, that is extortion in the clearest example. Myself, I'd tell em (the IRMA) to go to hell. ISP's are not the police, nor should they ever be put into that position. Get a clue RIAA, et al, before you go the way of the dinosaur.

I fall into the old & grey category too. However, I still pwn n00bs 24/7...

This is truly unbelievable.

You've got to be kidding me, right? Some idiot somewhere in the legal system really needs to get a grip on reality.

If you have to point & click to administer your network / device / whatever, you have no place as an administrator. CLI rocks. ;)
You do the crime, you do the time, moron. Don't use the game as a crutch to try to weasel your way out of it.
Looks like he crashed into the ugly pit a few too many times... ;)
It should be diesel powered, if it already isn't...

The thing I wonder, is did he actually consume it? Given the size of both (attacker & victim), I'd be willing to put my money on the "yes" vote... ;)
My guess, the "report inappropriate content" check box or something similar...

Sounds to me like an implementation of RFC 1149 is needed here...

Agreed, Flash just sucks ass. So much, I disabled it. If I can't see it, it's not really worth looking at anyways.
In my opinion, any site that is done in plain flash, shows the designers lack of creative skill.

I was always under the impression the Thought Police were a branch of the DHS?

Thank god I live in the EU.
pwn3d! Couldn't happen to a better company! :)
Shit happens. ;)

Or are they already there?
I think they call that "phear".....
If you have to ask, the answer is no.
Was WindowsME worth buying? Once again, MS's history repeats itself...
