The times of moderation based on merit are long past, my friend. Believe it or not, there were times when Windows/Apple/Linux discussions were conducted in a fairly calm manner. Then the famed "astroturfing" event happened, and it has been downhill ever since. And the increase in legal stories have risen dramatically, pushing the tech to the side. 12 years ago I would read every story, now I just skim them and read a few.
And our local meteorologists were predicting a colder than usual winter last November; and it was the 3rd warmest on record. But sure, I'll trust these new awesome predictions that go decades into the future.
Nothing wrong with being sexy and a scientist, but the video is just silly. It's like a thousand of other fashion commercials out there, except at the end they say "Science." I haven't known any scientists, but I went to school with and worked with many highly attractive engineers and programmers. And believe it or not, they're regular people just like us ugly people, with all the same problems and worries.
Thanks. My wife and I do this thing we call "experimental cooking," where we deviate from the common, just as you are doing. I believe this may become one of those experiments. The nifty thing is the wife will occasionally make home made pizza, so now I can see all kinds of fun with playing with that.:D
That actually sounds like an idea I'd try. Do you mix any butter in with the mashed potatoes, or just plain? How thin do you spread the potatoes over the pizza? Do you use any garlic or onion powder/salt in the potatoes. If it's a meat pizza, do you think a few drops of GravyMaster in the potatoes would enhance the flavor? I can't believe I'm talking recipes on/. lol
And the rise of the network PC will once again... wait, which cycle are we on? Laptops will never replace a full-fledged desktop. For each step hardware takes, software takes 2. And I'm not jamming a Nvidia GTX 690 into my laptop anytime soon. You really seem to underestimate how many people are rendering video and audio, CAD apps, circuit simulations, etc etc. Maybe I run with people who are always pushing the edge more than whatever you are doing (no offense, I have no idea).
Why don't you just go commit suicide, moron? Ooh, the ghostly extradition police are going to come get me for my usage of 1st Amendment rights. Many parts of the world are stupid when it comes to free speech. Heck, I'd put up a cartoon pic of Mohammed if I could right now.
Do anything. They don't have to release specs or drivers for Linux at all. Of course it would be dumb of them to ignore that market space, but Tovalds needs to realize the entire world is not servicing his wang on his whim.
There is some company, whose name I of course forget at the moment, that is building a building aligned with the local persistent winds so that it does create a type of wind funnel affect. (That was the most awkward sentence I've ever constructed.) Somewhere in the northern midwest US, I think, maybe.
It's just that on day 92 it falls over. It's like that came of who can build a card house "this high" the fastest. If you let the other complete their houses after the "fastest" has won, then stomp on the floor, guess which one falls right over?
Is it a tablet with a bad keyboard attachment, a poor netbook with a big screen, a picture holder, what? It's like Microsoft tried to come up with every mobile idea in the last 3 years and just cram them together until the machine looked like a damn Slinky, but more stupid? I'm not hating on them, I just truly, honestly don't know what the fuck they're trying to do with this.
You realize that you could have just pointed out that I was incorrect, yes? Without the "uneducated born-again leanings" thing? I just wonder where you got the "born-again" thing? I'm not even religious. And yes, I'm fairly educated, and made a mistake. Mea culpa. And I wasn't even being an asshole in my original comment. Though I'm sure that you have never made a mistake, correct?
OK, I did forget that some/few/many(?) don't have landlines. I apologize for that. I keep forgetting that the user case situation variables keep growing on a yearly basis, and obviously I forgot at least one here. I think what set me on this comment was that I've seen people, in front of a networked computer, go to their smartphone and look something up on Google. It kinda blew my mind. Once again, I apologize Svartalf.
I have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Is there some intricate ring of forgers that go around forging the serial numbers on current guns? You know, the serials on the body and sometimes on the barrel? Is there a huge counterfeit ring to do such things? Why would one spring up for firing pins or whatever? Stupid AC clown.
Seriously, you are comparing putting an ID stamp on a lethal weapon to illegally obtained YouTube porn? Have you had traumatic brain injury, or multiples thereof? You're just twisted, man, to compare those two.
OK, I can roll with your description. I've always taken the idea of "the truth" as some outside, omniscient overview of what happened. I see how you folding the idea of 'truth' into what we, on the inside, thing is true. So, in your terms, my idea of "truth" would be your "what really happened", right? I may have to rethink my phrasing due to your insight of looking at an event. Very interesting.

Phhhttttt!

Awesome! Quite the gal you got there; I hope if I ever have a daughter she'll be something like yours.
And the employers just raise their prices for everyone. But don't let reality get in the way of your macroeconomic theory world.
You don't remember the 80s very well, do you?

You don't watch a lot of baseball, do you?
Not do:
Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Star Trek 5
Enterprise
To do:
Star Trek 2, 4, 6, 8 (maybe let them see the TNG Borg episode before First Contact) movies
First season of TNG
DS9
If they don't like that stuff, they're not going to like Star Trek.
I can see your reasoning. Still not sure if I agree with you, but things will take care of themselves. Cheers!

Now where the hell is my Atari 2600? Damnit!

Since my high school dance card.
Sigh.

I love it when the most absurd comments are made by ACs. They make up the dumbest shit but can't put a name behind it.
