Dude! I don't have a PhD in theology! Some guy said 'what if he has one?" Fuck man, read better. This is the shit I'm talking about- you think I'm some religious freak, I got a damn BS in EE, a Masters is Info Sci, and a fucking MBA.
Non-trivial? Seriously, it can't be more than a pittance; they just speak loudly in certain areas. If you have some stats, I'd love to hear them, because all I ever here is a school district here and there trying for that ID stuff. Maybe Kansas and a state somewhere down southeast, but they got shot down. But I don't know what your 'non-trivial' means as a percentage; and then you're leaving out the rest of the world. Stop pooping your pants unless you have a good reason to. (Not being snarky, trying to be reassuring)
What do you think Mr/Mrs Joe Smith cares about right now? Money, comfort, monkey servants - or - some potential (not my views, what they're thinking) problems 10, 20, 30 years down the road? Why do so few people backup their systems? Why do so many people neglect changing their oil in their cars?
See where I'm going here? They don't care as long as they are comfy -now-
It also would have helped if all the politicians didn't try to make it into sound bites and personal agendas (looking at you, Gore). Not saying that trying to get the ideas out were bad, but it all came off as political whoring, which always make the public so receptive.
The cop had an obstructed view of his car by a car in front of his, he braked very hard, stopped briefly, and then started again. He then used fancy graphs with the judge. Cool, but according to him he didn't actually break any laws. F'n TFS.
It's OK that the new generation of male programmers are gay. We are enlightened now, and the females will start their own 'hogrammers' society any day now. Really, the bros- and hos- can -gramming co-exist! (every English teacher I ever had is now currently loading up a sniper rifle for that lame ass joke)
I don't know if even that would be enough. Politicians used to give at least some shit of getting stuff done, now it's all polls and 'legacy building.' The last big thing a president has had happened on his watch was the Berlin Wall come down (I'd say caused but then it would be a big argument). OK, Gulf War 1 was doing something (helping the Kuwaitis). Since then, everything has been stupid (Gulf War 2) or just backing down to basically everyone.
With all the recent injunctions against each other in the different countries, they should each pick a champion. 15 rounds, winner takes all, and the loser's fans have to chant "Rocky!" (What, I'm from Philadelphia.)
Sound likes Centralia, PA- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centralia,_Pennsylvania Except without all the hellfire. And in Centralia they did do it to themselves by setting their own mine on fire. I didn't get enough info from TFA to have an opinion if the mines were done badly enough to reach criminal levels, especially since it's being caused by a natural process and they did try to stop it. If they do hold Rybo responsible, would it even be enough to help the town out?
When I run a podcast I need at least 4 open- source, mixer, Skype, and FX. I'd like to keep a browser and a notepad always visible, but I just leave it in the background. Neat how different people have different needs, eh?
And I'll say to you what I said to someone else- are you going to be the one to make that call? Are you going to be the one responsible? What is your risk/probability level you're comfortable with? But hey, it's only a few lives, right? Can't be that inconvenient if some kids die on my watch, "Mom and dad, it's just a fact of life, so I safely ignored it."
Will you be the one willing to make this call? It's easy to say "ah, ignore it" when you are not responsible for those lives. Are you going to be fine afterwards when your non-call results in 1, 10, 100 deaths? How is that going to feel for the rest of your life that you going "ha ha, good joke!" cost X number of lives, not to mention all the people those deaths affected? What are you going to say to their parents & children? "I thought it best to ignore it to make it go away." "I calculated the inconvenience to risk factor to be to high." ? And this is all before you get to the criminal liability stage of your decision(s). But it's cool, you're just armchair quarterbacking from afar.
I'd go more with the IEAE is run by a bunch of politicos who bow down to international pressures easily. How many UN groups have been caught looking the other way over violations, or even profiting from it? Oil for food and such. I'm not saying who has the correct information, I'm saying I have as much faith in international government and groups as I do in the US's. Which is roughly this >. (that's not meant to be a squeaky face, just a very very little amount)
Nice diversion comment. We shouldn't send extra food money to a regime that wastes its money on this kind of crap. For your comment, the US shouldn't be spending money on crap (like useless wars) when it should be taking care of its own citizens. However, the US isn't asking for food aid from other countries.
I cannot comment on the world, but I can comment on my experiences here. People say they're atheist or agnostic, no problem. Someone says they're Christian, like I have in the past, and I'll get a bunch of replies mocking my belief in "fairy tales" and "how's that intelligent design going for you." And that's all I say- I'm a Christian, don't defend anything, don't push any agenda. I'll await the derision over in the left corner. The point being I get derided just because I say I'm something different from you, but Cthulhu help me if I try to say anything against atheists/agnostics here, which I never have, BTW.
Do other countries have this anti-vax problem? I would hope there's an "Jenny McCarth anti-stupidity" barrier to keep the rest of you safe. There's enough idiocy here.
Some kids cannot be vaccinated for everything, for differing reasons. Vaccines are not 100%. Like he said, it's required only for kids going to school. You can home school your kids. You're not being forced to do anything that you can't get around. It's a public health issue for the non-idiots' kids, not some personal ideology. Your points are all about your personal body; this is about your choices affecting the health of others. Sorry, but your rights end at you- you have no right to inflict anything on others.
So what do these "I know better than scientists, because Jenny McCarthy said so" parents say when they do not get the vaccinations and the kid develops autism? Global warming, pollution, fracking, black mold, Republicans/Democrats, what? How about just bad luck? Sometimes bad things happen for no reason (OK, the technical reason is a genetic mutation, but you get my point). And on top of that, they're placing our kids at risk. Vaccinations are not 100%.

Done with Linux Mint? Try BSD butterscotch! :)
(sorry, it just popped into my head)
And the 2nd mode (no password supplied, is...?
I look down, and realize my dong is long enough not to care about anyone else's insecurities.
Is this a new thing? Are they taking over our bases? What do they want!!!!
I agree with you on everything except the liver cancer thing. Cancer research is a good thing to fund, and will have a lasting affect for everyone.

We have Twitter and TMZ. Vast, vast improvement.

In the US, it is not illegal in any of the states anymore. Thought assisted-suicide thing is still a thing.
