So the lawyers brought these lawsuits not the RIAA. I didn't realize Donald Verrilli brought these lawsuits to protect his copyrights. I don't blame the lawyers for this anymore than I would blame the soldiers for fighting Bush's war.
Sure it was free. I put up an antennae and watched it for free. I entered into no contract with the station to watch those commercials when I put up my antennae. The money goes from advertiser to station and I have no part in that transaction.

I work at very large high school district in California and they have told us that they will not pay for ANY training because if we actually learned anything they might have to pay us more. The say that they can not pay for anything that MIGHT lead to a promotion.
Windows - either buy expensive software to automatically distribute patches, and force users to reboot, or run around at each station.
Ignorance is bliss.

I'm proud to say I've seen only 1/2 an episode of survivor and no other reality tv shows for one simple reason...they suck.
This gets modded insightful? You're proud to condemn an entire genre ("they suck") after viewing 1/2 an episode of one reality show. That's like saying Windows sucks after viewing the splash screen or saying linux sucks after seeing Tux.
Hopefully this will come up tomorrow when I meta-moderate.
