when he said "nintendo" im thinking he meant old nintendo or cartriage based systems.. i miss cartriages for that reason. nintendo's old idea was perfect, they just need to make a system thats cartraige+dvd.. and just pull certain things off the dvd. it would be a beautiful system but noone wants to put that much overhead into games:P like at 70 a pop they wouldnt be making their money back.. but they would only get 60 profit per game instead of the 68 they are making now per game minus the overhead.. sorry.. minirant:)
why is it that everyone seems to think that its legal to skip commercials.. i think you need to do a bit more research into the fair use laws and about the trials that created them.. in actuality, the fast forward button is illegal according to the goal of those cases:)
in most cases privacy is good.. here.. as much as i hate it when other companies do this.. there are criminals on ebay that cheat people out of thousands of dollars every day.. ive had it happen to my family and the man was never caught. If ebay gave law enforcement agencies a hard time about information, even more people would be cheated out of money. When my money is involved.. and there is a chance to be cheated out of it, I am fully appreciative of lax privacy when its only to law enforcement.
now heres the question.. a fax.. all they need to do is fax.. crap, i can get ahold of stationary from the local police department.. fax them.. and get all your information and credit card numbers? mmm.. maybe i need to live closer to mexico and change my profession? j/k
Everquest is the only reason i still have a windows box in my home.. I currently have a partition dedicated to it and windows. If someone ported Everquest to linux then i would have no need whatsoever for windows:o)
In my group of friends, 3 of us have e-mailed you on occasion to ask something for our pages (one runs a gaming page, I run an anti microsoft page, etc) Im the only one that has ever gotten a response.. i was wondering if it was because I put in a line of flattery in every message:o)
Oh.. by the way.. you are awesome and you set the rules for 3d games with every release!
If they "ban" mp3's they can only ban them as much as pirated software has been banned. all they will succeed in is making the legal mp3'ers stop using them. The people they are trying to stop will only laugh at them and pirate the players/encoders as well, which they are probably already doing.

Here I am.. im 19 years old and I would be the media's prime suspect for a school shooter. I played Doom all the way through, laughed with glee when I killed hundreds and thousands of creatures while playing that game, and hundreds of other people while deathmatching. I got into Duke3d and killed hundreds of more people and looked at half naked dancers. I played Harvester and watched as townsfolk died by my hands so that I could join the order (If this one ever made it to a console system it would have been the one to blame). And I played Quake and Quake2, killing a number of people probably in the hundreds of thousands in the process. I watch violent movies all the time. I see them on opening weekend. Ive seen everything from The Matrix to as far back as the Rambo movies.
In school I have no friends, I sit around and sleep. I am a very depressed person, I used to get suicidal alot and sit a cry wondering why everyone picks on me and why no one likes me. The games have desensatized me to the point where hearing on the news that 15 kids were shot and killed cause they were "preps" doesnt phase me. And everyone in my school has picked on me at one time or another.
I have access to guns, I know where to get the "cookbooks" to make bombs. I could, if i wanted to, do exactly what the littleton kids did. But would I? No. I see the images on TV of the kids crying and dead bodies being taken out on stretchers and I wonder "Why the hell would someone do something like that." It was stupid. A group of guys that supposedly got picked on alot kill all the "preps". I wouldn't go kill everyone at school, if not for the fact that killing is wrong and stupid then for the fact that I dont want to be known as "yet another school killer". So if I have all the traits that any other school shooter did then why do I think that its stupid to do something like that and they go and do it?
I guess that there will always be psychos in the world, if not in schools, post offices, and federal buildings then somewhere else. And as long as these psychos are around their psychoticness will be blamed on "Doom" and "The Media" but there is something more behind all this, something that mentally makes these kids want to kill. I dunno what it could be but being an avid video games player, action movie watcher and depressed person I can say that they should try looking to somewhere besides the usual scapegoat.
why does everyone always say that Linux is ONLY FREE SOFTWARE. Its not like we flogging people that sell linux software and dont give out the source. I bet you people would be thrilled if someone sold a game for Linux. Or a DVD player. I mean.. please.. we're not all that cheap, its just that we choose to make it free because we can. Not everyone has to choose that.
