The SNI (server name indication) extention is considered to be a better solution for HTTP than SSL Upgrade and hopefully will soon be supported by browsers and servers. (Opera and mod_gnutls already do).

The default configuration layout has been simplified and modularised. Configuration snippets which can be used to enable commonly-used features are now bundled with Apache, and can be easily added to the main server config.
Probably not exactly what you are looking for but it does at least imply that the Apache devs do care about improving the Config situation.

Ford licensed a few patents from Toyota for the Escape Hybrid (the first hybrid SUV available in the US) so I assume it would be more similar to the Prius than the Hondas (which are very different from the Prius).

The other hybrid SUVs that I know of, the Highlander and the Lexus RX400h, are both from Toyota so they probably both use the same Hybrid Synergy Drive® that the Prius is based on.

Sure, wiki markup is pretty simple but I wish there was a standard wiki language. They all seem to use different markup. Plus, sometimes the simplistic wiki markup can be limiting in the type of formatting that it allows you to do.

Which version of the Prius are you looking at? According to the site you linked to, the '05 Prius gets 36 - 58 MPG or an average of 48.0.

And, yes, the Diesel Golf does get good mileage but is smaller than the Prius which is why I used the Passat for comparison. The Golf is classified as a Compact car at 88 ft3 whereas the Prius is a Midsize at 96 ft3.

  15. Re:TDI! on Hybrid Vehicle Conversion Services? · · Score: 1
I've never understood why people like the diesel engines so much. Ok, let's compare a Prius to a Passat TDI (similar in size). According to the EPA:

Average MPG: Prius (47.9) Passat (35.5).
Annual Fuel Cost: Prius ($838) Passat ($1405)
Air Pollution Score: Prius (8-9) Passat (1) (from 0 to 10, where 10 is best)

    So, you said:

Cheaper than hybrid. Cleaner than hybrid.

Alright, if this guy buys a TDI engine for his Jeep, he'll spend more on fuel but the engine will probably cost less than a new Prius so I'll give you "cheaper". But how on Earth is a TDI cleaner?

There's one important fact that Mr. Goodger forgets... less than 24 hours after the initial Netscape v8.0 was posted, AOL made available version 8.01 which is based in Firefox 1.04 and hence fixes the three vulnerabilities present in Firefox 1.03.

He didn't "forget" because it hadn't happened yet! The point is not that AOL took "less than 24 hours" to fix vulnerabilities. They released a product with vulnerabilities that had been known about for over a week, that's the problem. If AOL had known that they would be releasing 8.0.1 why didn't they just delay the release a day?

Frankly, I wonder if they would have released 8.0.1 so quickly if it hadn't been for the bad publicity .
