    Its called Wedge Politics http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wedge_issue.

So basically its the same as in your country. Our politicians don't really give a shit about any of this, they are just trying to score points with voters or do damage to the opposition parties.

    Sound familiar?

Put your hand up if you own a DSLR and/or take a lot of RAW photos. Keep your hand up if you understand that Aperture is about workflow. Still got your hand up? Good. Now keep it up if you understand that Aperture is not supposed to be an image editor competitor for Photoshop. OK excellent! Now we have a whole bunch of people with their hands in the air who actually understand what this software is for.

The rest of you........piss off and find something to do where you can add some value!

ummm I think if you are using processor cycles and possibly using dasd for non volatile count retention then it will be more resource intensive than the RTC.....and therefore require more power and subsequent battery drain. Of course (as you say)the RTC depletes battery life...unless it has one of those new cold fusion power sources...but not at the rate that a timer system without a real time clock would. I am happy to be proven wrong...but I dont think I am....the RTC will save battery life comnpared to a pod without one.

Actually I'm an Australian and as far as I am concerned this government and all previous Australian federal governments have well and truly had their head up their arse as far as IT is concerned.

The current opposition has at least one person (Kate Lundy) who knows her stuff but they come with their own baggage as well...

As far as Microsoft goes...well having your own not-so-humanistic motives doesn't make the facts wrong...just the motive.
