It's total bullshit, of course. Unless you can capture the CO2 produced by the entire manufacturing chain and the power to run this device and the CO2 used by the lifestyles all of the people involved at all stages, then you're just adding to the problem. Quick-fix mechanical (rather than long term biochemical) methods of fixing CO2 are a Goddamn scam, and the sooner we stop believing (or pretending to believe) in these big, loud, fast solutions, and bite the bullet on serious reductions in the use of fossil fuels, the better.

A objective observer might conclude that First World societies are in fact devolving, by encouraging and supporting the least capable breeders. Mention this, though, and the shriek goes up "Eugenics! Nazi!". But what else can you call it, when we tax producers in order to fund consumers; people on welfare who have more kids, at a younger age, who then tend to go straight on to welfare themselves? Contributing to society has become an inhibitor to breeding.

That's ok as long as part four includes eliminating copyright law. The notion that 1's and 0's arranged in a certain way on certain media have intrinsic value is silly. Copyright causes the problems, not the violations of copyright. If we take away the expectation that a weekend posting from your parents' basement means a life of dedicated 100Mb DSLs and SDRAM out the ears, maybe "crap" will disappear.
