I believe it's powered by a renewable source; 100% natural snake oil.
It's total bullshit, of course. Unless you can capture the CO2 produced by the entire manufacturing chain and the power to run this device and the CO2 used by the lifestyles all of the people involved at all stages, then you're just adding to the problem. Quick-fix mechanical (rather than long term biochemical) methods of fixing CO2 are a Goddamn scam, and the sooner we stop believing (or pretending to believe) in these big, loud, fast solutions, and bite the bullet on serious reductions in the use of fossil fuels, the better.
That allows message filters to run on the body of IMAP messages? That's pretty basic functionality for Thunderbird to still be missing, given how long it's been a known issue. And yes, I've tried the "might work-arounds", and they don't.
A objective observer might conclude that First World societies are in fact devolving, by encouraging and supporting the least capable breeders. Mention this, though, and the shriek goes up "Eugenics! Nazi!". But what else can you call it, when we tax producers in order to fund consumers; people on welfare who have more kids, at a younger age, who then tend to go straight on to welfare themselves? Contributing to society has become an inhibitor to breeding.
"Part two is STOP VIOLATING COPYRIGHT by copying other people's posts."
That's ok as long as part four includes eliminating copyright law. The notion that 1's and 0's arranged in a certain way on certain media have intrinsic value is silly. Copyright causes the problems, not the violations of copyright. If we take away the expectation that a weekend posting from your parents' basement means a life of dedicated 100Mb DSLs and SDRAM out the ears, maybe "crap" will disappear.

Seriously, fuck them. I drive past a station twice a day, and frequently see the fucking pigs going off duty pull out of it in their own cars, usually without a seatbelt, then go screaming off up the 30mph residential street, the same one on which their piggy brethren often mount a speed tax trap. So, basically, fuck their pudgy white hypocritical porcine asses, fuck them sideways with a LIDAR gun, and lets see them held to the same standard that they hold us to. They need to justify every Goddamn infraction that they're caught performing, just the same way we are.
Look chum, that 5 digit UID doesn't give you carte blance to be such a fucking nobhead. If even 1 in 100 ambulance trips resulted in a fatality, you'd know about it.
Then it's curious that you're incapable of doing so. Is it that realisation that you've made a complete yeast-infected twat of yourself that's causing you to stick around just to get in the last word to try to salvage the last tattered shreds of your masculinity and self respect?

On what grounds? What damages do MS suffer, if they're willing to pay MS what they consider fair for a "better" OS? Can you cite case law?

2K Pro For The Win.
Did you consider just sticking with that, waiting for Microsoft to send their BSA goons round, and then saying "Sure, we'll happily pay you the XP (or Vista) OEM costs, but we are. Not. Going. To. Stop. Using. 2K Pro."?
Eh. They're also faking up the I/O, blah, blah, blah.
And sending mouse and keyboard events ("faking up the I/O") to WoW violates Blizzard's copyrights... how? Perhaps it's the "blah, blah, blah" that's doing it.
What's your thoughts on this hovercopter then? Is the lift generated over its body actually real, or it the body just a way of mounting fins that divert the flow and counteract the rotor's torque?
Thank you. It can all get a bit frenzied around here before the grown-ups step in.
One correction though: you're free to use GPL software in any way that you want. GPL version 2 says "nothing else grants you permission to modify or distribute the Program or its derivative works".
"manipulate the game code in memory?" It read the transient data. Do Blizzard own the copyright on the data comprising the number of hit points that a particular Garrulous Goblin has at any moment in time?
Then you should know that it's utterly futile to ask or expect people not to exploit. The only - the only - solution is to design out the possibility of exploits. Any game that relies on the actioning entity's actions alone to determine an outcome is always exploitable. Always.
That's not very cheery news, but it's the way that it is, and I do wish everyone involved would skip the hair pulling and wailing and just accept it. You're always going to be playing catchup with the exploiters, and the more successful your game, the further behind you're going to be.
Me me, blah blah me. If you don't know, then feel free to just STFU, m'kay?

To recoup lost income.
Repeat after me: not being convicted of abusing a monopoly is better than being convicted of abusing a monopoly.
Look, it's this simple:
Microsoft has been convicted of illegally leveraging a monopoly.
Google has not.
Now, which one would you rather own DoubleClick, and why?

No, but the absence of lurid CNN reports is pretty good evidence of absence, you pedantic cockjockey.

If you don't want to "argue it", then admit to yourself that you're utterly full of shit, and walk away.
Au contraire; I just did exactly that.

You're posting on Slashdot about things that give journalism a bad name? Alanis, is that you?
How do fixed wing aircraft stay in the air, if lift from low pressure on the top of aerofoils is 'fictional'?
