    At FSMlabs. There's an RTLinuxFree, but why settle for the crippled version when the source for RTLinuxPro should be available.

    I've emailed them asking them what they've done to satisfy section 3 of the GPL version 2. I await their reply with interest.

    My gut feeling is that this is a bridge too far for the GPL, and it will cause a schism between the FSF using GPL3 and, well, everyone else who will stick with GPL2. Including, I rather suspect, Linus.

    That's why I said if you get caught lying. You can libel someone in court (by lying about them) and get away with it (without being convicted of perjury) if nobody calls you on it.

    You can't be sued over what you only say in court. If you repeate the same slander or libel outside of court, you can be sued for that after the case has ended (regardless of whether you're found guilty of perjury), as SCO's executives might find out soon.

    Court filings are protected. You can't be sued for libel in a civil action over what you tell a court; you can, however, be jailed for perjury if you're caught lying.

Better to ask why it's not been seen in bigger animals with slower metabolisms. Consider that crodilians don't regenerate lost limbs but can survive severe trauma. If you had to pick one ability, the latter would be more useful, as it's a prerequisite for the former.

    That means that when I follow the license terms of ***** that I can make and distribute copies of ***** without having to obtain any further permission from the rights holders of *****. I sure wouldn't want anyone to come along and try to restrict my rights to distribute ***** by demanding money or other terms from me, because that would be a clear violation of the license terms of ***** that cover much of the third party code contained within *****. Indeed, the only thing that gives the 'owner' of ***** the right to distribute that code is his continuing compliance with those terms.

    I will stop downloading movies for nothing when you give me the opportunity to purchase for home use a legitimate copy of them the moment that they are ready for release.

    In case I am not making myself clear, when you release Shazbang Kerblooey IV on cinema in the USA, I will not wait six to twelve months for a DVD release in my region. Once that film is ready to watch, I will watch it. If you don't make money supplying to that demand, you have no one to blame but yourselves.
