    I use a satnav on a motorcycle. It stays in my pocket and I listen to the audio, which I treat as purely suggestive. The stuff happening in the real world in front of you is what matters.

    (also City of Heroes and doubtless most other MMOs) are not Free to Play, they're Free to Try.

    Drawing a distinction between a time limited, level capped or limited race/class trial is splitting hairs. If you don't care about levelling, you can play a limited time trial game (e.g. EVE) indefinitely just by starting a new account every month or so. The 'grind' back to the cap is essentially trivial.

    But in either case, the time/level/class capped people can't compete with the premium players. That's not a bad thing, they bring value by providing an underclass to which the paying players can feel superior, but let's not pretend that a limited trial is the same as making the whole game free.

    Outside of Podunk, New Hicksixo, political candidates are corporate representatives. They pick both puppets and don't really care which one wins.

    If you can think of a way that an independent candidate can get access to an electorate without corporate funding and free media promotion, I'd like to hear it.

    When I were a lad, working down the coal mines in the snow 30 hours a day, I learned programming in order to achieve a goal - make computers do fun stuff.

    If you want to get a kid interested in programming, give them a simple game compiled from source, ask them what they'd like to change, and let the voyage of discovery begin.
