Shouldn't respond to my own posts...but my intention was to post some metallica lyrics to his page (via the comments section). Problem is....just about every song they've written would sound like a veiled death threat...oh well....
OOooo.... SNAILSPAM Washington! There has to a be a list of all the congressmen's address....I think they'll 'get' it after that! (Crap...I'm gonna get blamed for this aren't I..)
Merge an online directory lookup with your junk mail script. Now junk mail bomb a single zip code. Sounds to me like it scales.... I doubt the whole USPS, but for one or two post offices? Easy!
What's the diff? Still did the crime.

Most people, if you kick their dog, won't kill someone.
What's the difference between someone with a mild 'illness' like a hair trigger temper and a true ilness (NGRI)?
Should I plead 'hair trigger temper' and get anger management counseling?
Seems like both make a person unable to function in normal society doesn't it?
Take this one step further. Copyright a haiku. Have someone else spam it all over the place. Anyone who doesn't delete it, and all -backups- -copys- etc.... is an infringer right? So now you can subpoena basically any ISP / company/ whatver you want. Now that I think about it, doesn't even have to be haiku..free verse should work fine. One little device I've seen clips to the top of the sheet of paper with a couple of small sensors. The two sensors track a little band on your pen (a sticker) and triangulate to locate the pen. Works ok, as long as the band is pretty far down the pen, the further up it is the less accurate the capture (becuase you angle then pen in different directions)
// Clearly it's technologically feasible...optical mice can work on most surfaces these days. If so I can use a bluetooth enabled version for all of my device types//
I don't know about you, but I lift my pen off the paper when I write. Ever try that with an optical mouse?
//The sad thing about all of this is that most of //the independent labels with bands worth pirating //wouldn't see a dime from this outrageously high //tax, and I severely doubt that, say, Qbert, DJ //Seishi, or Courtney Love will get their fair //share. Do artists ever get a cut from the RIAA?
Here's the interesting bit. The money is doled out to the copyright holders right? So...any holder of a music copyright is eligible to collect some of this. Suppose each 'song' you distribute gives you one 'credit' towards the pool of money. If I distribute one million copies of my song, I should be entitled to a tidy sum of money. (Note: It shouldn't matter if I sell this or not, just that I distribute it) Everyone write some songs, then distribute to your friends. We can -all- make a claim at some cash! Don't forget to copyright those tunes you hum in the shower! Download from my site and I'll give you half the proceeds!

Consider that if we all used an effective ad blocker, that'd be the end of adverts as an effective means of funding this site. And that'd mean we all pay, or byebye slash dot.
Or don't you realize that bandwidth doesnt grow on trees.
Set up somekind of PDA buying and selling network. Like Dopewars only more kid friendly. Allow the kids to setup as 'companies' or 'countries' according to a couple of options, you could allow the kids to loan each other 'eCash', work for themselves or as groups.
A great example of this from my youth involved a berry patch. A bunch of the kids decided to pool together what they picked. Another picked alone. When they shared it out, it turned out that the kid holding their bucket ate like half of 'em. That was the end of socialism in my home town.

If you've been to a financial firm you see 2 and 4 monitor getups all day long. I use one from 9-5 every day.
Consider the total real estate available to me. I have an 18" LCD with a total area of about 168 square inches (usable). Plus a pair of 14" LCDs for nearly 200 square inches. The point being, for a large spreadsheet the 18" is clearly superior. If however, you need to watch two things at once (2 web pages or 2 spreadsheets or 1 and 1 whatever) the two smaller screens are FAR superior. It all depends what you're using the screens for.

...on the same site? What happens if the Chinese govt. decides that a US blogger is violating their laws?
...and an ATM or CCTV camera takes my picture, can I sue them for copyright infringement?

.13$ a CD-R, and you get to keep it forever.

Cingular is GSM as well. They share capacity with voicestream. Well...at least here in NYC they're GSM....
T-Mobile actually bought the assets of the original company. I forget the name....
I think they had almost every Starbucks covered.
The original company folded like a 10 high poker hand.
GPRS is pretty young, give it some time. They'll improve the service.
Plus, sprint now offers 1xRT service, (BTW, this is not 3g as most ppl define it).
I've only played with it briefly at the Sprint store, but Sprint's phone service is pretty good around here (NYC/LI).
They're also offering a 3 mos. discount right now.

Just take a quick look at cdnow.com they advertise 'Fast and the Furious' on CD.
'CD $18.97 List $ 18.97 Add to Cart'
Sounds like a good place to start complaining.
I'm sure Amazon is doing the same (pesky work firewall).
It would seem to me that this is false advertising on their part. But hey....what the heck do I know?
Then it got loose. I'll admit that it's a different order of magnitude, but the world has a very poor track record with biological controls.
I might also point out the spread (unexpected) of genemod corn....
Take a look.

I -dare- you to ride one anywhere in NYC on a normal day. (Except the Parks of course) You'd be killed, either by traffic or by angry pedestrians.
