So we're supposed to terrorize our enemies... Who are we? Al Qaeda?
Right, ignore all the previously stated examples of all the different groups that have used fear as a weapon of war and go straight to Al Qaeda as if they were the ones who thought up the concept.
Basically every dental office management software vendor and hardware vendor whose hardware requires software (digital x-rays, impressions, intra-oral cameras, etc) all run on windows. There is one Mac based platform, but it has a relatively small user base, and I'm not sure about the extent of support for peripherals. (Not to mention the practice already had Dentrix when I got there.)
I totally agree with the parent poster. It should have read something like 'no longer shares openly.' From what I can tell, the US military was under no obligation to share the data. It isn't like the military is jamming communications channels, or otherwise blocking data that would naturally be available.
Shouldn't there be a way to tell if anybody else is watching that camera so that you don't have everybody watching just one camera while the rest of the cameras go unwatched? I just skimmed the article, but I didn't see any mention of that feature.
OK, so I guess I should take this as a lesson. I should start surrounding my posts with hints like or or I N_MY_MOUTH> or <WHY_DONT_YOU_JUMP_TO_SOME_CRAZY_CONCLUSION_THAT_I S_ONLY_VAGUELY_RELATED_TO_WHAT_I_SAID></WHY_DONT_Y OU_JUMP_TO_SOME_CRAZY_CONCLUSION_THAT_IS_ONLY_VAGU ELY_RELATED_TO_WHAT_I_SAID> or <HEY_THIS_XML_STUFF_IS_COOL></HEY_THIS_XML_STUFF_I S_COOL> or <AM_I_TAKING_THIS_TOO_FAR></AM_I_TAKING_THIS_TOO_F AR>
I've read a lot about this lately, and I've discovered a way that we all can win. My idea is to go to the countries where the wages are low and unionize them. With my idea the people over here at the high end of the playing field don't have that changed so they win. The foreign competitors get more money and can become better consumers so they win and businesses win. And finally there is less chance of me losing my job to a low cost foreign competitor so I win, which is really the most important part.
This brings up the question of how long it take for a dolphin to say a dolphin's name. Is it a short period of time like saying Bob? Or does it take a long time like when you're in trouble and your mother calls you by your full name?
Well, my only point was that there are a bunch of free, open source libraries available for java. As for all the other stuff that you said, I shouldn't speak to it since I don't have C# experience. Well, I do have experience using Visual Studio and Eclipse, but this isn't really an IDE conversation. I have done some C and C++ in the past and have looked for similar libraries to do what I have done in java and just haven't found a whole lot free ones. I know that boost has a bunch of free libraries, and the ones I've used have been great. I guess I just wish that there were more free libraries out there for C++. I know I should get off my ass and start writing them, but there are just so many that I would want. The amount of time that people have put into some really good java libraries is amazing. In fact, I think there was a story here on slashdot about how java has now surpassed C++ in the number of projects on sourceforge. If I'm wrong, and there are a bunch of really great C++ libraries out there and I just didn't find them, please, somebody enlighten me. I want to use them.
Another thing to consider is the availability of useful libraries. I don't use C#, so I can't speak to the libraries that are available for that language, but there are many freely available libraries for java that do all kinds of useful things so that you don't have to reinvent the wheel.
I'm thinking of hosting one of these blogs just to make my host less vulnerable to attack. If all traffic from China to my host is blocked, I'm probably more secure. Hell, maybe the US government ought to start doing adopting blogs as a security measure.
I would think that this would reduce the amount of outsourcing. If you were Microsoft or Oracle would you want your stuff being developed somewhere that didn't recognize your patents? Isn't piracy what MS is always getting upset about? Am I missing something?
The odometer seems like enough to get the information they claim they want. I'm guessing they want more information than just the milage. They may want to charge taxes based on what roads you use. Or... if I put on my tin-foil hat, I can come up with some other explanations.
Is Schumer surprised that they are getting the behavior they reward? What an idiot.
We got the behavior that we rewarded. Weird.
BTW, the "egocentric blindness" you keep referring to has a name. It is called cultural bias. It is a known and unsolved problem.
No, the problem is our enemies do not fear us.

Bob, is that you? Or is it Jayesh? Sorry, didn't mean to out you. So few people use GemStone/S I can probably guess who wrote this.
Definately a possibility. There is a better way to implement a scheme that encourages full coverage, I just haven't taken the time to think of it.

It would suck to have a stalker after you. I bet no celbrities will sign up for this.
The terrain is breaking wind? I'll have to use that one in the future.
