    I took the test, boring friday night, woman in the shower, and I am happy to know 6.7% of programmers started contributing to open source projects in the same year I did. (2000).

    I urge you to take this test, just for the fun of someone looking up google's cache in the NewGoogle (Tm) search engine 50 years in the future.

    Honest Question:

    What if Party B was the Government, and Party A was a sub-government agency.

    Would that not get some results?

    'Sir it was the Outlook virus going around, clogged our servers.'
    "Oh. Microsoft?"
    'yes'
    "Can we sue?"

    That was an SGI system running the 3d file manager which they borrowed from SGI.

    I work at the Canadian Radioshack, and we have very differnt practices (We are a differnt company, owned by Intertan).

    There are vender repair codes, eg:
    R
    D
    V
    Repair, Destroy, Vender Return
    And depending on the item, we would do the corresponding action.
    Eg: I took back a pair of headphones today that was just below the 3 month warrenty, we didn't destroy them, I gave the customer a new pair, and then purolated the 21$ headphones to the vender to be repair, and redistributed.

    This makes *far* more sense than what you have described your Radioshack does.

    Again, here in canada Tim Hortons (Think Star Bucks * 203) gives their donuts to local soup kitchens, as well other donut shops do too.

    I can't believe how in-generious America can be with buisness practices, even after seeing that one guy who drives around and collects old food and then distributes it on Dateline.

    You will be glad to hear, in this nation (Canadia) those monitors would of been donated to an organization like "Computers for Schools" (CFS) or so.

    They even get banks computers, with hard drives with sensitive data on them (You have to run a program that writes over the hard drive 3 times with 0).

    Those monitors would of been put to a good use, towards students, for no cost!

    Here in canadia you can not sign away one of your paid breaks. You get it, or you work without pay.

    However, you now have to sign to work over time.

    kinda like this time where me and 2 of my friends were walking up cliton hill me with a ski mask, and my friend carrying a big club flashlight-lamp.

    needless to say, we got stopped 3 times by cops, in 5 minutes, while the last pair of cops searched us.

    So you need an addon to GCC? An adiditonal compiler?
    What gives?
    Will the .NET applications work whereever gtk works? Will newbies beable to install this "additional component"?

    actually, I have one of those server cdroms, where it's car-style.
    you stick the cd in, it sucks the baby inwards, then loads. when you hit the eject button, it pops out and stops half way.

    so easy to adapt.

    I think the point of the show is that you are given only limited finances to build this vehicle. They aren't giving you enough to go out and buy a brand new landrover or an armored assault vehicle.
