What if I know mf@hotmail.com (Guess what M.F. stands for.) and he uses slashdot.
So I type the email address in the "Reclaim lost password". and it sends it to mf@hotmail.com
Now I create a simple php program (I don't use PERL) to connect to hotmail.com and read his email, from today (I did this at 12:00am) and now I got his slashdot password, and am using his account.
Damn eh, too bad for him.
Now let's make him look like an ass, and find out what other sites he was registered at. Oh look, his nickserv passwords from dalnet, ohh and his postal location number for his new laptop..all gone..
I don't think I've ever had IRQ problems in linux, I know in windows they are a dime a dozen.
(Actually, I Can't run windows98 on this machine, it locks up randomly every N minutes (Where N is a predictable number, I can actually say "No. I can't send you that file my computers about to lock u..Connection Reset by Peer")
WinMe locks up less, 2k was stable, but thats a joke. Atleast I can use my ATi Allinwonder without crashing (News on this? ATi AIW 16meg AGP Win2k drivers stable at all?)
oh yah
that involves downloading the file.
And even thought that takes only 1 minute from my time:
nataku@CO512570-A:~$ file TiXray.orig
TiXray.orig: data

Hey fuck eater.
The movie "The Last Starfighter" was about a teenage boy who played alot of video games at a local shop, those video games were actually secret spy machines that scouted for people with advanced flying skills. He then got drafted to fight a horrible battle started by an evil vilian(human) who destroyed their main base. Only him and his co-pilot escaped, and after learning all he needed to know, his co-pilot died in combat. He was the last star fighter.
There were no more.
If you've shop lifted in the past, thats your problem. If you were wrongfully convicted of shoplifting, how can you not forget about that giant canoe that you stuck in your pocket?
It's their right to kick you out of the store.
Deal with it.

oh yah, coincidence that they just completly changed backends of SlashCode has *nothing* to do with mySQL crashing. Infact, if they would of used another database, NOTHING would of went wrong!
Slashdot! when will you learn! Man I thought you guys were smart, apparently your susposed to be using something different!
with reading all your "This is illegal" non-sense.
First, if you did write a benificial cure to this virus, many would thank you in return.
Secondly, Where is the creator of the original virus? And how can I thank him in return? Does anyone have his E-Mail Address? No? Point taken.
In conclusion: Nobody knows who first spread this virus, so if you spread a purely good virus that patched IIS, restarted the service, and made sure it was not break-in-able to any known Issues, the public would worship this super hero, and as long as the super hero did not take off his mask to unvail his true face (being offered money from companys, gloating rights) He would be safe.
come on
that was the exact same thing
what if MS sent out an automated patch to everyone on the internet that was registered to their service, and patched their machines?

I second that.
that ad*.org site is pretty "gay".
I don't care for it much, and I don't like how people think it's better than slashdot.
from what I knew last year, OS/2 was still being maintained.
Mind you, at it's original pace. (No win9* support)
