I have Sprint PCS service and all I have to do to find out how many peak and off peak minutes I have left is dial *4. It has worked well for me and I have not gone over my minutes just by checking that every once in a while.
While a USB NIC may have been useful to you repairing systems (and is not a bad idea to keep around) he said he wanted a kit for repairing old systems so I don't really think a USB NIC would be useful to him.
If you highlight the "extract" from the sample program it looks like a long nose and then a mouth, kinda like a certain Disney character whose nose grew when he lied. Gotta love April Fools Day!
It is bad enough that they are stealing other vendors commisions, but I have major issues with people, especially a whole company that would intentionally steal from a charity. I see virtually no difference between this and reaching into one of those bell ringers donation buckets (even though I find them kind of annoying hehe). I hope they all go bankrupt.
Of course it has to do with TV, that is why it has a the TV picture next to it. Where did you get the notion that the people are paranoid about internet security in relation to this topic?
Well, for US$1900 I would at least like a 1 GHz P3 (if not more). The price difference between a 700 MHz and 1 GHz is less than $20, which IMO would be worth the slight performance increase. Now maybe they didn't want to go higher for this model b/c of power consumption limitations, but I don't think that could be too much of a problem. I am no engineer however, so maybe it is.
Well assuming that you dont have barriers, which you couldnt with this technology, then it is still better because I am almost sure it still transmits a hell of alot faster than any radio link is possible of doing.
I would guess from his name, buckeye guy, that he went to Ohio State and lived in Taylor or Morrison tower. They are damn big! By the way I am a CIS major here now...
I didnt quite explain myself right (I have been studying for midterms the last 3 days and have about 6 hours of sleep in me).
What I meant was if you are going to be anal, IMO, as this photographer was, then dont put your property on the internet. Copyright is not enforced the same way all around the world. Legal action can not always be sought when your property, be it text/images/whatever, can be acquired from any point on the planet that the internet is available.
Another thing is Ditto.com provided links to where pictures originated, so it was not like NO credit was given, and that was why I think the photographer was being anal. The new system is better, a link to the originating website if the full image is wanted, but the old way wasn't all bad. I think if someone was really impressed with an image then they would have followed the link to the originating website.
Don't get me wrong here, people who steal images/text/whatever and post it as their own work deserve to be punished, put in this particular case I think the author(s) were given fair credit.
I vow to preview from now on too! lol
"From now on I vow to preview frist."
:-)
Well as long as it's from now one...
It is against the law for someone to come up with a better way to send mail.
It is not against the law to come up with the idea, just to make a business that uses that idea.
So:
1) Come up with better idea
2) Sell idea to post office to use
3) Profit!!!

LOL that really is funny! I did not catch that, good eye!

But I wish there existed a pizza+movie+BEER delivery service!
I tried exactly what you said and it worked perfectly...

If you read the article you would have known this was done in ISRAEL!

Will the greed ever end? The 25 cents per encoder/decoder is bad enough, but then charging by the hour as well??? Give me a break

they said MILES. If you can see that far then maybe this isnt redundant enough for you...
umm GIGA-bit transmission maybe? Most reliable radio is limited to 11Mbps if I remember correctly....
