I'm one of the developers on a new p2p network system called pods.
Pods is a decentralised P2P network for sharing abstracted resources over nodes that need not supply or know of the resource through the use of XML.
The Disk and Processor resources are already in place and working well.
Yes that seems like a good idea although the source is huge! I've been looking at the openoffice mailing lists, it seems that glibc may be the problem, you might try upgarding (it didn't work for me:( )
Well I'm using Debian sid (unstable) with xfree 4.1.x etc. But I know several people with the same set up as me and it works fine for them so it may just be missing libraries. I don't think staroffice generates a log file:(
I seem to be having a problem with StarOffice and OpenOffice 6, it all installs fine but when it's run, selecting any of the menus (file edit etc) causes a "internal program error" and crashes! Anyone else have a problem like this?
I've had 3 46.1 Gig IBM hard drives break in the last 2 weeks! I got them form a rather dodgy;) supplier in Cambridge UK (I'm sure someone knows who I'm talking about) in January, they've all died in the same manner. After dismantling one I think it might be the bearings that are causing the problems.
The model number is: DTLA-307045, built in August 2000.
I've got 4 more of these damn drives.. I hope IBM offer money back or compensation or something.
Me and a couple of friends set up a lan party at School during the last week of the summer term. We had about 12 computers with an extra one projecting the game onto a large screen. We made loads of money for charity but it was really difficult to persuade the admin to allow us, we also had problems with irritating kinds wanting to change the controls every 5 minutes. What is the best option, leaving it on default controls, or allow people to change?
As far as I'm aware, the BBC managed to keep their site up throughout tuesday as well. I think their tacktics were to reduce the graphics on pages. I guess/. couldent really reduce their graphics significantly!
When is someone going to implement that 100% data compression sysem I heard so much about around April time? I'm sure it would be very usefull! Just think about all the possibilities!

This has been reported already, silly timothy.
"What is 6 times 9? 42."
Anyone know what it runs?
Linux seems possible, although the CDR drivers are scsi (scsi-emulation is nesasery for IDE) only AFAIK.

Have a look at it here
Well it's missing a few things like the shadow effect on the windows etc but It's almost there.
I`ve managed to get a similar effect with Gnome and sawfish
Well I think you can be fined up to 2000 pounds for dangerous cycling, something like that anyway...
Can you imagine cycling through Cambridge (England) at 80mph? That would really piss off the Taxis ;)

At last! An efficient way of cleaning my room! hmm on second thoughts perhaps it's not quite powerful enough.

Personally I don't get any wrist pain from using a mouse, and I have the pointlessly heavy Intellimouse explorer!
I would have thought that keeping your hand in the air would cause more overall arm pain?
They 9(M$) put $millions into bush's campaign.

Just use debian! All the libraries are taken care of for you! apt-get install gnucash done!
What would be the legal complications of starting an un-sensored Napster (no, not kidnapster (see futurama)) server at 20,000 feet above the atlantic?
what do expect?
