    I went from Smalltalk to Java in 1996 and didn't like its implementation. In Smalltalk, EVERYTHING inherited from TOFU (Top OF Universe). Not so in Java. Haven't done it for some years, but I thought it wasn't very elegant.

    The keyboard I am currently using is about 8 years old. It is a Compaq and has been through the dishwasker 11 times. It works great. I put it in the top rack and use no soap and then let it air dry for 3-4 days. I don't let it go through the drying cycle in the diswasher.

    I am doing it because I can.

    I will continue to use Win 2K and XP for as long as I can and when they are no longer usable, I will switch to Linux. Maybe even sooner.

    I simply do not understand how MS can be so ignorant as to make what I think are dumb business decisions. Of course I could be totally wrong and perhaps the majority of individuals and businesses will just gripe about MS and swallow the poison anyway. I hope not....
