    Lol "leftist hatred". I hate hypocrites regardless of party. This is the main reason Kerry isn't leading by 10+ points, he is a hypocrite too. However, to the fucking morons who think Bush and Kerry are the same, ask a mother of a dead soldier or an iraqi family with losses if they had to choose between Gore and Bush who would be in iraq right now and who would have cleaned out afghanistan & pakistan looking for osama instead of he who "tried to kill my daddy".

    I have no faith in the american people, our corrupted political system or the politicians that are owned by the corporations. Fascism is coming to a neighborhood near you (see Italy WWII).

    Regardless of any liberties taken by Michael Moore the point of the documentary is valid. Bush started a war for profit not liberty.

    In the end people who support the war should go fight the damn thing. I'm tired of all these stupid fucking republicans in my state backing bush and like him, saying the war is good but not participating themselves.

    It's high time we let people vote for or against war. All those for the war go into the draft pool, all those against do not. I doubt people would be so pro-war if their ass were on the front line.

    Note: 1/2 my family is in the military, both my grandparents have purple hearts from WWII and I have 3 uncles who fought in Vietnam. Of course my Father (a Republican) is pro-war, however he (like our schmuck in chief) avoided Vietnam for himself. Hypocrites amaze me.

    I suggest going back to grad school to fix your error. The older you get the more you'll realize this is true. Unless you're fugly then don't bother. Why do you think most divorced men in their 30's wind up marrying some dog as ugly woman? That is the crop they are harvesting (haven't used a farming reference in a while). Unfortunately the crop is past its prime.

    The appearance of leadership (Bush facing down terra/tourists) is more important than actuall leadership. Notice Tom Osbourn is a Senator after 20+ years of coaching Nebraska. I'm shocked Steve Largent (wide receiever from Tulsa) didn't win the governor spot in Oklahoma, however Barry Switzer was behind Brad Carson (our governor). I'd be willing to bet if Bo Schembeckler (sp?) ran for governor of Michigan he'd win.

    Popularity matters more than ethics, implementing sound policies, saving troops lives by not starting bullshit wars, etc...

    What hardware were you running it on? A 180MHz G3?
    I run VPC on my G4 733 Tower with a Win98 image and on my iBook G3 900 without any slowdowns whatsoever, in fact I run the first Baldur's Gate on my iBook. However I've got plenty of PCs so I don't use it that often, only when checking webpage compatability in IE when I'm working on a Mac.

    The only product I've found superior on a PC instead of the Mac version (Office is sooooo much better on the Mac) is SPSS. That is the biggest piece of shit software I've ever seen. Minitab, SAS, hell even Excel is a better option. AVOID SPSS on Mac & PC as well.

    Tornadoes are small but I have a redundant backup of all my servers running at a co-loc in chicago. I also backup and put weekly disks in a safe deposit box at my companies bank. The biggest tornado to hit was in May of 1999 and it was only a mile wide (would be an F6 if they thought that wind speeds could get that high). A hurricane is different, they can be as big as Texas. Storing priceless items in the path of a possible hurricane or any other forseeable natural disaster is very short sighted in my opinion.

    The only thing I try to protect in a disaster is the lives of my family and my employees. A good backup/disaster recovery plan may never be needed but where would you be if your business burnt to the ground? Error on the side of caution.

    Try Thief or Thief II on Windows XP.
    Try any DOS game (Terra Nova, Syndicate Wars, Crusader, Madden '98 damn that was a fun game).
    Try Baldur's Gate (anything over directx 8.1 kills it).

    I have 3 old machines specifically for video games only,
    no internet and no patches.
    1 Pentium 133 with DOS 6.22 & Win95
    1 Pentium III 450 with Win98 SE Direct X 3? Maybe 2 whatever Diablo came with.
    1 Pentium III 933 with Direct X 8.1 (Original Baldur's Gate)
    1 Pentium IV 2GHz with all the latest bullshit (note: Norton Antivirus will shit it's pants if you have a Radeon 9800 and patched to SP1, it has since been fixed though).

    The only reason I never chuck old systems is it's fun to play the old stuff from time to time (Ultima III on my Apple //e is painful, how the hell did I ever type on that POS keyboard!!!!)

    Xenix on a 386 is kind of cool too.

    I cannot wait to build my new Athlon 64 3500+ (2.4GHz?)
    I'm waiting on a G5 Powerbook for my next laptop purchase unless IBM comes out with a AMD 64bit Thinkpad.

    He says people are ready for radical change. If that is the fact why doesn't his party get > 1% in the general election? They need to skip the national elections and work from local elections up. A top down approach doesn't work (a la trickle down). They need some more state representatives, govenorships and congresscritters first. President is a stretch.

    People tend to confuse communism and fascism for socialism.

    We are closer to fascism than most people think. Apparently some crazy leader shouting about the evils of the world (could be Hitler, could be Bush) gets people's nationalism at a high, at the same time they erode the rights of citizens. Then all it takes is candidates sponsored by the pharmaceutical/oil/(insert big business here) industry. Remember during WWII Italy was the Fascist Business Republic. Here is a good write up of where we are apparently heading.

    Oh yeah and Sweden is socalist as well. They have their problems as well.

    25% eating cornnuts not knowing there is an election going on.
