I'm switching to Oracle for the simple fact it can do everything I need and more. Great Drivers, great database, great expense. Sometimes you do get what you pay for (unless your California).

So you'd rather run ftp than sftp or telnet than ssh? It is true if someone really wants in your system they can get in one way or another. However, you should make the possibility of intrusion as difficult as possible, instead of the "it's going to get cracked anyway" attitude.
Who cares really. Next time someone says "Your vote counts!" I'll remind them that all the votes (electoral) went to GWB in my state. Since I voted Gore my vote didn't count. Our electoral process is a joke. No wonder people don't vote.
