    They are not out on some limb exploring new concepts that requires all sorts of supporting context. They have discovered a way to fix problems with current tech using CHEAPER processes and materials to get BETTER batteries.

    Expect this to be scarfed up and put into production with the utmost haste.

    You know what they say about assumptions.

    There is no really break through materials or processes here. Just a slight modification of current technology with readily available materials. The process actually appears to eliminate a few exotic and expensive processes.

    If the results are replicated, manufacturers will be falling over themselves to license the technology so that they can beat their competitors to market with either an ever-so-slightly cheaper product (got to save those profit margins), or a "high-end" product for the same price.

    They hinted that it could be made without expensive processes that are currently used. This will push it to market faster than any other aspect.

  6. No. You didn't fix it. Any transfer of concentrated power is highly dangerous.

    I asked my son to plug in my air compressor one day when he was about 12. I didn't realize the compressor was switched on, and he dallied when pushing the plug into the socket. But, I know there was something wrong when I heard him scream and looked up just in time to see six inches of flame shooting out of the the electrical socket. The stalled compressor looked like a short to the socket, and when the plug came in slowly it set up an electric arc that melted the tab off the plug in a split second.

    I repeat:

      Any transfer of concentrated power is highly dangerous.

    Made the same mistake in another post. I meant 7075. 6061 forgoes the copper so that it has good corrosion resistance, but lacks the tensile strength of 2024. 7075 has the highest tensile strength of the popular alloys, but you've got to keep it away from water, high heat, and notches.

    I was thinking about 6061 (what my 601XL uses for the most part) while thinking 7075 (which airliners would use more of).

    You left out Hillary not bothering to campaign in any of those 3 precincts, instead calling the occupants "deplorable", which radically lowers the possibility of GOP theft. Hillary also ran the most negative presidential campaign in modern history. You have to account for that factor in your probability calculation, if you're going to be honest.

    But, I doubt you really want a scientific analysis. You seem to be more concerned with finding a scapegoat.

    If you're getting results from creationist while searching for articles on evolution, you're doing it wrong.

    Google is a tool to give me stuff I'm looking for. The system requires that I know what I'm looking for.

    Facebook is a medium for me to communicate with people I may or may not know. Asking it to moderate my communications is outside the scope of the design, and a bit insulting.

    If you looked at a Facebook group or a post from 4-chan without a critical eye, you have failed yourself. Any noise spewed by idiots will be soon washed away by intelligent rebuttal. If the noise sticks around, it may be that the science isn't really all that settled after all. The answers to bad information is not censorship. It is good information with supporting evidence.

    The "electric care fee" was always there. The fuel taxes are earmarked for building and maintaining roads. It doesn't matter what powers the vehicles, the state still has to get the money to make a byway for them from somewhere. The 'electric fee' is actually their fair share for using the roads that road users have paid for.

    So the temperatures are predicted by some to rise 8 degrees F at most. But, somehow, the water is going to be 140F on average.

    They responded wrong. In fact, most of government responds wrong.

    Instead of waiting for a FOIA request, post all the info...everything...meeting minutes, budget, whatever is legal for the public to see...on an Wiki. The public has read access. Only proper officials have write access.

    Why are they waiting for request before reporting what they are up to?

    The TFR's (and many of the permanent no fly zones) the FAA issues are outside their charter and illegal.

    They can cut up the airspace in whatever ridiculous way they choose, but, more importantly, they can pull my ticket without good cause, and I can get it back only if I dump a load of cash on a lawyer. I'll stay out of their way, plenty of nice air in the other direction.
