I thought it was just a clever way for us to do work training their facial recognition algorithm... Maybe a huge conspiracy to create a government identification database!
The iron ring? I believe http://www.order-of-the-engineer.org/ these guys provide one with membership. They recruited membership at my first university.
I have a degree from a university in electrical engineering. I work as an electrical engineer and I consider myself one. I am not licensed as a professional engineer (PE) and have little interest in obtaining that license at this point as the type of work simply doesn't appeal to me.
As you suggest, those PEs do put their license on the line when they sign a document. From my understanding, companies that have resident PEs will only have a few and have other non-licensed engineers do the less expensive work.
If it is a product it will usually need to meet expectations set by a different regulatory body (ETL, UL, FCC, whatever). If it is a building, power related, whatever, then it requires the review of a PE.
It doesn't really help you much, but I really respect what you did. You obviously put a lot on the line for what you believed in. I wish you the best of luck... I hope I am never in a situation like yours, but if I am that I can act as courageously as you have.
Most elite, non-dungeon, quests can be done with two people in my experience. But I am a priest and normally ran with a warrior... might've had something to do with it. If we couldn't do it, we normally would find people around that wanted to work on the quest too.
Although I do agree, being able to solo quests is nice... I also think that the game is made to be social. Find someone you like playing and leveling with and go about it that way. It makes it much more enjoyable.
I didn't even notice that the missing words. Isn't the gap missing "we be able to" and not just "we?" Was I the only one that thought of hamburger first? I don't even like them much. Hmm. Perhaps you read the 'clue' and associated that with a smaller number before filling in the blank.
I know that Xenogears, and what I've heard of Xenosaga, both reference the origins of Christianity and many other old wisdoms. If you actually read about those references, the games are pretty deep indeed. You are right though, the game(s) sometimes skews the meaning or only elude to a different one.
I don't know what kind of engineering classes you are taking, but I wouldn't consider differential equations, complex numbers, Laplace transforms, and Fourier transforms high school math. And those are in a 200 level EE class, most of the stuff isn't seen until 400 level math, perhaps some in 300 level courses depending on the university.
I also enjoyed the film, more so after watching it a second time.
Although, one time watching it with a friend, we pondered muting it and watching the animation. After it was finished we discussed why we thought it wasn't successful while realizing it did have potential. The points, however, I do not recall.
Hmm not sure about HAM, I think that requires a license... and I've only ever heard of the radios truckers use referred to as "CBs" (Cee-Bees). I'd imagine that it is an unregulated spectrum with a shorter range than HAM. As I remember on good days and favorable conditions a HAM can go around the world.
Cheers

That's pretty good... except I don't understand how e really expanded your mind unless you use one of the other forms for e... primarily
e = sum(1/n!, n, 0, inf)
If I am not mistaken.
Nice puns though, and thanks for posting the links. It seems like the moderators didn't mind either.
After reading the headline, am I the only one that thought embedded in the context of microprocessors instead?

I'm not really sure how they would regulate Facebook with their data ... I've never dealt with something like that.
If only life were like Star Trek: TNG ...
... the current (hah) system is quite broken
I completely agree with you though
They didn't wait, did they?

Try this http://www.eurekalert.org/. It isn't perfect ... but neat all the same.

And be transcendental instead of merely irrational? I must agree, e is a very cool number.
sqrt(2) (786011)
:-)
Big words for someone who is irrational.

Try calibrating your monitor like this webpage recommends:
Setting the Brightness and Contrast of the CRT monitor Accurately
I've never had your problems exactly, but using this method just always makes things feel better.
