I was in the same situation working for a dying dot-com a year ago... Management "must not dissapoint the client" so command the geeks to work 12/7 (whilst they spend their weekends on the golf course).
This dragged out for quite a few months...the workload combined with dodgy office furniture gave me a full-on case of RSI (repetitive strain in arms). Since I was a foreign worker no compensation, and it took me 6 months of physio and gym before I could type again...
So yeah, your health is waaaay more important than any single project or job...

Titanic...over $600M at the box office. Enough said.
I would suppose that this is because it has a more generic appeal than a narrow genre like 'Sci-Fi'. The problem that Lucas is facing is that special effects are no longer a trump card for a movie, the kids these days expect nothing less.
So what's left with episode I & II is some tragically bad acting, corn-ball dialogue and blatent angling for post-release merchandising. And that ain't going to generate any 'special effects' at the box office.
Basically the only thing keeping the heart beating on episodes I through III is loyalty to the originals. I personally don't think Spiderman is any kind of cultural Zeitgeist though...was a good movie that a family could go watch (good for box office takings) but no Star Wars IV/Matrix/Blade Runner...
Note Covad's stock dropping 12.5% on this announcement, their days must truly be numbered now...
Also note the previous weeks price erosion (no doubt the cronies running the FCC/judiciary getting friends & family to sell short before the press release...). Why oh why can't I be a crooked public official on the corporate payroll!?!?:-(
I think the point is that the infrastructure the Baby Bells are so keen to shut competitors out of was originally provided by public funding (much like highways).
So lets say the government privatises highways, selling them all to Ford. Ford would just have won the right to block Kia-made cars from using the on-ramp.
Reduced competition & corruption (aka lobbiest pay-offs) are going to rot the US economy from the inside. Where does the US rank in the world now for broadband penetration/adoption??? Further and futher behind....
I've heard that said on radio here (Australia)...that the dancing Palestinian lady (with the circa 1970's eye-glasses) was stock footage. However it's also been reported that Kuwait arrested a small number of Palestinians there for celebrating.
Anyway who really knows, mainstream media is very manipulative. Although here in Australia it goes both ways as stories regarding local celebrating Muslims are not being reported for fear of upsetting society. The celebrating Muslim students in Queensland? Nothing but a single mention in an online article.

As somebody else has pointed out, the only Middle Eastern country in which Arabs vote for their leader is Israel. It's not like America covertly bombs women and children in various countries to amuse itself. Unfortunately for America they are one of the few countries that are courageous enough to take up the fight against countries that go bad.
What is a country that goes bad? Try Germany in 1938. The rest of the world sat on its hands behind the infamous 'appeasement policy' until it was almost too late. Poor fk'ing America has to go in everytime some tinpot nation goes bad (try Serbia & Iraq in recent times), and then they suffer the terrorist attacks afterwards.
Meanwhile the other pissant nations of the world stand around scratching themselves preaching the whole 'America is a bully' tripe. Very convenient.
I'm an Australian btw. One of those who is keenly aware that it was the US that stepped up for us in the battle of the Coral Sea to head off the imminent invasion of Australia near the end of WWII.
p.s. Israel, with all due respect, get the hell out of Palestine for God's sake. You're making things that much worse.
Particularly: "Meanwhile, Mr Deen criticised Islamic students who were cheering as television images of the plane crashes played at a Queensland university library yesterday."

The best way to respond to the Middle Eastern despot states currently celebrating this obscenity would be to force a rapid move to alternative energy in the US and thus depress the value of oil as quickly as possible.
I doubt it. The Chinese regularly pump performance drugs into their athletes with horse syringes. Remember their female swimmers from the meets of 2 years ago? One of those chicks could take Arnie Schwarz and Sly Stallone and bang their heads together like coconuts without raising a sweat.
Furthermore, anybody who believes that >75% of Olympic athletes aren't juicing on something is sorely mislead...
In other news, ingenious Australian law makers have banned drug dealers from collecting drug related credit card debts. Government predicts Australia's illicit drug trade to be halted immediately.
Sweet lord give me patience.
(I'm an Australian btw and I pray daily for Senator Alston's inevitable Darwin Award style exit from this life that will free us from the constant assault of his stupidity.)
The ultimate irony with this whole thing is that the utterly clueless government that is championing these Anti-Net-Gambling laws presides over a country with the most pokies (poker machines) per capita in the world!!
You go into a pub around here to get a beer and you're tripping over pokie machines trying to find the counter.
Unfortunately Australia seems intent on preserving it's 1930s economy for the forseeable future. Since I'm not a farmer or a miner, I'm out of here. Anybody sponsoring for H1B's ?

No, the US telecoms infrastructure is nothing to be proud of. Kudos for your nuclear arsenal tho;-)

Although the UK labour (left wing) government seems to enjoy micro-managing its citizens (I lived there for the last 1.5 yrs)... I'm here to tell you that it is certainly no better back here in Australia.
Every holiday season here the media enthusiatically run what appears to be a sports-scoreboard of road deaths per state. The police media spokespeople make tearfull pleas for people to "slow down" on the roads...crank up speeding fines to ridiculous levels, take away licenses etc etc.
Now our left wing wowser-element (big here) are lobbying for speed limits to be dropped to 50km/h in cities (from 60 now). Frankly it drives me insane... Noone seems to ever use actual stats on the correlation between road speed and death. In countries like Sweden where they did drop speed limits, deaths went up for the next 2 years! (The wowsers responsible for the laws claimed statistical aberation to explain it).
Fact - Fatigue is the biggest road killer...you make people take longer to get places (and driving between places in Australia takes a while) deaths are going to go up. Simple.
Check out this page on speed stats from our Canadian friends:

p.s. Spent a week driving around Italy last year. Their highways have no speed limits (like Germany). After a growing up in Australia I kept feeling like a naughty child while doing a comfortable 140km/h (of course at that speed you're in the slow or middle lane;-) ). Didn't see any carnage, I wonder what their road death stats are like in a very liberal (although oddly facist back in the old days) country like that ?
