  1. doesn't anyone listen to the soundtrack? on Grand Theft Auto - The Scarface Connection · · Score: 1

One of the stations in GTA3 (not VC) played nothing but songs from that movie! The DJ was named Tony (female voice though so I guess it's Toni?) for criminy's sake!

  2. are YOU on crack? on Pro Gamers Can't Scrape By? · · Score: 2, Insightful

The olympic games, the x-games, and professional sports are SPECTATOR sports. People want to watch it because it's exciting. The money comes from the fans. Nobody wants to watch a batch of geeks staring at their monitor while twitching every so often. Nobody wants to watch others play the game when they could play just as easily. That's why there is little money. Make it viewable, make it exciting, and then the money will come.

  3. i started it... on Polybius Game Urban Legend Resurfaces · · Score: 4, Funny

  4. Doh! Should have RTFA on Wrestler Maxx Payne Sues Game Publisher · · Score: 1

He's retired. He still calls himself Maxx Payne afterwards? Whatever. I still think it's a publicity stunt.

  5. and this guy was christened maxxx payne? on Wrestler Maxx Payne Sues Game Publisher · · Score: 1

I sincerely doubt it. Just because his pseudonym shares a likeness to a video game character's name isn't grounds for a lawsuit. It's pretty obvious this guy isn't concerned about his 'identity', however obscure it may be, as much as a little publicity to jumpstart his rasslin kuh-rear.

  6. what were they expecting? on Sony Profits, PS2 Sales Slide · · Score: 1

What does it matter if their hardware isn't selling like it did last quarter or last year? They're making a profit from licensing for games, right? How are the numbers for ps2 games? If sony is making a profit, I'd say game sales must be decent at least.

Sony still hasn't gotten my money, but it's coming. I expect console sales to rise once GT4 is released next year. I know I'll be buying one!

  7. Three words: Command, Conquer, and Generals on Gaming Suggestions For A Non-Gamer? · · Score: 1

C&C: Generals is my pick. There's a learning curve involved but it's short and leads to a smooth straight-away. I *acquired* this game a little over a month ago and fully intend on paying my tithe to the developer gods. Me and the roomies play at least one sweat-soaked, verbally abusive, match per night.

  8. Re:Cheesy Look on New Trailer for The Hulk · · Score: 1

Yes there's nothing like realism in when it comes to big green guys whose origin comes from a normally-lethal dose of radiation.

  9. it's all well and good.. on Opteron Benchmarked Against Xeon · · Score: 5, Insightful

but it reminds me of a benchmark performed between desktop x86's and a sun machine. Given the different architectures, it really didn't make sense. However, the benchmark was supposed to show price::performance. Is this what Pabst is trying to convey? I don't take much stock in benchmarks anyway, as I would rather get my hands on it and try to break it.

  11. how about some real stories? on IPv4 Headers Investigated · · Score: 1

This has probably been asked numerous times but I'll ask, no, PLEAD....Can we stop with the marginally funny april fools posts? Aw screw it, I'm going to google news.

  12. Re:Gaming on New Years Marathons · · Score: 1

If the million parties that are planned don't pan out...i can always come home and bust out on some RTCW all night.

  13. Site only in Spanish and Portugese? on Conectiva Linux 7.0 Review · · Score: 1

I went to the Conectiva website to download the ISO but the front page only provides two language options...spanish and portugese. Are there english mirrors? Maybe an alternate place to download?

  14. Re:Gus Van Sant? on Review: Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back · · Score: 1

Grammar is to blame on this one. Look:

Gus Van Sant (CT:Good Will Hunting, not J&SBSB of course)

Anyway, the movie rocked and Smith is even giving signed mini-posters to those who send him ticket stubs from friday(8/24) and sat(8/25). See viewaskew.com for details.
