    How the hell is this not industrial espionage? And then you expect me to host my backups in a US-based cloud or use US-based services like Office365? Apparantly these NSA-approved encryption techniques dont work so good when you're trying to shield from the NSA.

    How about this cloud-based electronic laboratory-notebook software that is being pitched to pharma companies. These contain all the sensitive data before the patents are filed. Will that data be "shared" with my competition as well?

    You are absolutely correct, but the sad truth is that patent laws only require you to submit a working proof of concept within 18 months after filing. The poc doesnt have to be any good only to show the claim in some working order.

    For me, the content of the answer is part of what I want. I pay equal attention to the way the salesman is giving the answer too. If I have the feeling he is bullshitting his way into a sale I know I have to ask more complex questions.

    At least with robots you know in advance you are being bullshitted as they literally have no sense of ethics. For humans this requires effort and sometimes they slip up.

  12. Indeed. Now that everything is 'streaming' and 'cloud' i wonder what their intended market is. For me personally, in the last year I only handled optical discs to copy them to my NAS. For long term storage the technology is too immature and delicate. Why would I buy this?

    Relevant? I wouldnt be surprised if less than 5% of redhat installs actually uses a gui at all. I know non om my RHEL installs has it. If I want a GUI, it measn I want a desktop OS, which is not RHEL (rather ubuntu or fedora). RHEL is for high reliability servers, on which a GUI has no place.

    the repetitiveness of the capsid actually functions against antibodies, because the structure is immuno-dominant (so it attracts antibody targeting). However, binding of antibodies to the capsid does not inhibit the virus from infecting, as antibodies against virusses work via physical blockage of a molecular mechanism (like HA hexamerization) rather than act as a flag for termination by white blood cells.

    Please name an alternative for AD that is suitable for small businesses and that can be administered by junior admins ( i.e. the ones that small businesses can afford). Afpd is a joke, and linux ldap is just too complex for a small office. Im not trolling, I'd really like to know what i can switch to. ( samba is not an answer. I do not mind paying for the software, i just do not like the smb protocol and the windows acl system)
