This is the sort of bullshit that happens when you allow the balance of power between the three branches of government to be degraded by filibusters and the like. They impede the government's ability to do the work it's intended for.

She used to come in and talk Linux to me as I sat there in my boxers and tshirt right after getting up... occasionally sitting on my leg so she could see my computer better. Very, um, stimulating conversations.

That's only one tenth of the total NASA yearly budget. Definitely worthwhile so we can have pretty pictures for the few years between the Hubble and the James Webb.
