    Coffee made properly is scalding hot when made ... it will cause severe burns if spilled on a clothed area where the heat can't escape. Thanks to this case we have to suffer lukewarm coffee everywhere.

    Residential lines aren't muxed into a T1 generally. Services like DSL require copper from the CO to your house. Once at the CO they get muxed into all kinds of interesting multiples.

    Broiling is what the English call grilling.

    Of course a grill over here is one of those outdoor things with charcoal (or gas).

    Weird ... those systems are supposed to give you normal braking in the event that a problem develops with the ABS breaking.

    No it's just a fact that these agencies don't play well together ... it's not a conspiracy, just beauracracy.

    How is that served by fingerprinting and photographing ? The INS already has a lookout system that uses your name, date of birth passport number etc. to search the watchlists.

    The 9/11 problem was that the CIA wasn't sharing the information it had with other government agencies.

    The visa waiver program is based on reciprocal arrangements with the countries involved. The USA has unilaterally changed the terms of the deal. There's already been two cases of US citizens being arrested for being uncooperative with overseas fingerprinting requirements.

    Yes but in this case the probition on online gambling is about protecting our domestic casinos.

    To be fair this ruling is about the US trying to impose our values on the rest of the world, by trying to prevent US banks & other business from dealing with online casinos which are legal in the country they are based in.

    The difference is in a properly chlorinated swimming pool the pee is broken down in to harmless salts very rapidly. Can't say the same about smoke in a restaurant.

    But why is he obliged to do anything he hasn't been paid for ... if he developed the content himself them it's his absent an agreement stating otherwise. The problem with getting something for free is you normally have no legal recourse if you don't get what you didn't pay for.

    Where does this "most toxic substance on earth" crap keep coming from .. Plutonium is not water soluble so it's not toxic in the conventional sense ... I don't believe there are any reported deaths from eating it ... the main danger comes from inhalation, and then you need very small particles to inhale it.

    I keep hearing this story and every time it's somebody from microsoft telling it. From what I hear the problems aren't technical but involve training staff on new applications. There's no doubt that once everybody's up to speed on the new system that it will be less costly in the long term than a Microsoft solution.

    It seems MS has been briefing their employees on what to say about the Munich linux conversion, this all proves that we have them worried.

    Believe it or not publishers of songs belong to a group of clearing houses that process such licenses. You pay the fee you use the song, that's it.
