Even though the web of today offers so much more I still sometimes miss the times of BBSes.. My old Laser Turbo XT was great "online" with its CGA color screen,st-225 HD, and 2400bps Hayes modem. Beautiful 80x24 ANSI art..

I used to play Falcons Eye, Planets TEOS, and BRE.. I never really got in to LoRD.

I forget which game it was but one of them used to reset your turns at 12am so it was a rush at midnight to be the 1st one in on the single line BBS to get a jump on everyone else. One of them (I think BRE?) used to pit BBS vs BBS. The game would dial the other systems at night to sync up all the moves and data.

Passing tons of laws in the EU and the USA will do nothing. It just pushes the problem to china and India.
Shutting down a EPA regulated widget factory in Pennsylvania doesn't help the Earth because that widget will just be made in China with zero regulation. The end resolt will just be more hardship for us and the earth being worse off.

Get back to us when you have a SOLUTION to the problem. Re-defining the problem and pointing fingers isnt going to fix shit.

They don't charge to check your bag.
They don't charge for the crappy airline food.
    They don't have assigned seating
They are easy to deal with.
And they seem to adapt to the times.

You check your self in online the night before. The people who check in 1st get a lower boarding group. You print your boarding pass at home.
When you get to the airport you hand the well staffed baggage desk your bags and check your self in on the touch screen where you have the option of reprinting your boarding pass if you lost it.

When i get to my airport I look over at the other airlines and see 2 people trying to deal with lines a mile long. Southwest has 4 or 5 people working the check in and hardly any line.

Southwest changes with the times and makes a profit. They seem to understand that if you make your customers happy they will keep coming back.
Everyone else is operating the same old inefficient way..pissing people off.. and loosing money.

You could trap digital channels no problem.. It all depends on how the channel plan is laid out.
If your B1 is analog ch2-26
And your B2 is analog 27-70 and this is what you have your traps set to notch out...
You could put the B1 digital channels ABOVE the "trap" and mix your B2 ClearQAM's in unused channels 27-70.

Im not up on how switched video works but for normal digital TV this would work fine.

We tried to have it setup like this in the system I work in but we needed the space for HD so B2 digital and HD QAM's started showing up in unused B1 space and above our deployed traps... the plan was abandoned. Now only B1 is in the clear.
