1st off you do get your money back if there is a problem with the movie, the seats or the sound. That is all the Portland Oregon Regal Cinemas promise.

When I went to see LOTR they had blown half the speakers on the right side. Every time the bass hit it sounded like they poured gasoline in the popcorn. (Was that that the special flavor? No that was greed.)

Anyhooo.... I got miffed and went and bitched out the 'manager.' He told me how I must have been wrong and I told him that as a 'rave promoter' I know how to tell if someone is trying to sell me a crappy sound system. Moreover if he didn't know what blown speaker sounds/looks like I would go and show him how the voice coil had violated the sanctity of the cone.

    Money? No. Free Tickets? Yes.

So I go home and bitch to my brother and he lets loose that he had been forced to sit through the same stinking sound system for the release of... THE PHANTOM MENACE! WTF? Regal suck my fat shoe after it passes through your body ass 1st.

This is why when the Halley Isenberg (sp?) Pepsi succubus Jack Palance add / feature / propaganda thing ran I used to yell... "THAT'LL BE $8 PLEASE!" when she got the Pepsi & "...and no smoking 'CRACK!'" When she blew out the cigar. The kids loved that one.

Now when they show the Seirra Mist and Mountain Dew adds I stand up, face the audience and ask... "YOU PAID $7.5 TO WATCH ADDS? TV IS FREE BECAUSE OF ADDS! IF WE CAN BEAT THE PEPSI GIRL WE CAN BEAT THIS!"

2600 told me to do it.

Just as Teg is another step on "infinite path to glory and redemption (Akira)" so are the farmer Face Dancers. They have risen above the master/slave illusions and are only concerned with the reality of their life i.e. farmers. Why would you expect a simple conclusion to a book the proposes the infinite?
