What we really need is more competition in the marketplace. We need at least a dozen different services, then one of them would relaise the good niche market of people with their own cable modems.

I agree... As soon as I get my next bill, I intend on getting on the phone with a manager at customer service and letting them know that I will switch broadband cariers as soon as annother option becomes available.... If enough people do this they might just get scared and listen...

So then, people with long ear hair must hear very well?

Actually No. As said in the article the hairs adjust their length so that they resonate with the incoming sound. The length is critical so it would not help to have longer hairs.
If a person goes blind and his hearing becomes enhanced, then does that mean blindness stimulates ear hair growth?

There is no evidence of this. It is more likely that the brian simply diverts higer order resouces to interpreting sound information.
On a serious note, does this all mean that those who use cotton swabs to clean out the ear canal are actually damaging their hearing because they may be damaging the hairs?

Wrong hairs. I believe the hair that they are refering to are the hair with in the cochlea which is deep which is deep past the eardrum in the inner ear.

  18. Aniti gravity,Gravity Shielding, == ANCHOR. on Build Your Own UFO · · Score: 1

    Everyone,

Whatever you think about these things, remember your basic Physics. Under the laws of physics, when you move away from a mass, you spend kenetic energy to gain potential energy. You can regain that energy by allowing yourself to return to your original position.

If there is some sort of "anti-gravity", or "gravity shielding", it cannot break this law (nor the laws of inertia for that matter). Otherwise, you could turn on your "gravity shielding", assend to a position of larger potential energy than your current position, then simply turn off your "gravity shielding" and get free energy by falling back to your original position.

Therefore, any "anti-gravity" or "gravity shielding" must also keep you from moving along any path that is not equi-potential. Also because of this, any "anti-gravity" or "gravity shielding" device must also be an anchor of sorts.
