As a side note, does anyone else who's taken physics see the issue with calling it "Satellite Radio" being as how it uses microwaves and not 'radio' waves? No, but calling it XM is silly. AM = Amplitude Modulation, FM = Frequency Modulation, XM = Cool Marketing Scheme.
Fist off, a 5wpm test isn't as much of a barrier as everyone likes to believe, especially the way the test is formatted. Consider that you will get a city, state combo all spelled out...so if you get Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and manage to get ".itts.bur..,.enn....a.ia" you can pretty much guess the rest and you're one character away (period) from having 25 in a row (all you need to pass). Morse code is interesting, give it a chance.
That said, this is probably overdue. If it seems unfair to the old-timers, remember that the new Technician class test has stuff on it that didn't even exist when they took their Novice exams. If you don't want a bunch of "no-code schmucks" on your bands, remember that most of those DX stations you work now don't have to pass the code either. Things change.
You could go back through your video and say "Yes this is a commercial, no this one isn't," and build a list of known commercials to avoid. Not to mention most programs show the same handful of commercials each break, so the software could use chunks of repeated scenes to identify where the commercials are.
Absolutely correct. You can't just start a low power station legally. To go the legal route, my understanding is you actually have to start with a minimum of 6000 watts. You think a 10 watt station is expensive? Try 6000! Then you have to win your spectrum space in an FCC auction. Unless you're Clear Channel or BAS or something, that's not exactly realistic.
This is just what I ran into when I looked into starting up a station a couple weeks ago. Browse around on the FCC website and read some of the stuff at freeradio.org (it's not all completely nuts) and you'll see all these problems and probably get a headache.
This program also downloads a dl.exe from the web. Pretty sure that's a known worm. Don't believe me, open the executible in a hex editor and search for "dl.exe".
Could be that you're touching something else that's grounded and becoming the shortest path to ground for your BNC connector. Instead of going through the wire, whatever devices, and the house's grounding system, it can get right to ground through you (to a cement floor, metal vent, water pipe, etc).
Removable wireless networking devices are under $20 and are small enough to be easily hidden, destroyed, or lost forever. You can have a naughty one and a nice one.
This could slow down combat considerably, which can be good or bad depending on how you look at it.

But with space being really big and all, the chances of being picked up within that time are 2^2,079,460,347 to one against.
Yeah, I wonder if they can make oil that quickly too. Why are we paying so much for energy?
Apparently it's a terminal disease.
5. Profit!
Or you could just buy all the movies, music, and software you wanted...
Makes ripping off Canadian vending machines just a little bit tougher?

That or this guy's got other issues that injected the virus into this executible for him. False alarm?

You can install one under the sink, but they're expensive. I'm sure they'd let you set up a plan for $200+ a month to pay it off though.

It can turn an unsuccessful landing into a successful crash.
I Blame Microsoft
Don't knock it till you've tried it...err, till you're trying it.
