    Since drags is non-linear with respect to velocity.. you'll also pay a huge fuel bill (e.g. this is just for the military for the foreseeable future).

    You didn't need to bother going into all of this analysis, and I hope to god you didn't click any banner ads while you were reading his dreck. His articles all follow, without exception, this pattern.

    Fact check: Youtube accepts video in almost any codec and (as they have mentioned (it was in respect to their coming higher definition video) in the past) stores an unaltered copy, then they essentially transcode everything to H264 and wrap it in FLV. Google would likely be fine with converting it to whatever, as they have already shown with the iphone, which doesn't use FLV (but does use H264).

    It has nothing to do with the fact that support vorbis in itunes and not on the ipod would simply be confusing to users. You might argue that they should support both, sure, go ahead, burn your batteries for no good reason.

    Yes, because dumping food on those who have no food doesn't help them have food in the future, it just undercuts all their farmers and builds a long-term dependent relationship. (There are exceptions, one that comes to mind is drought-caused-famine relief).

    The whole generation of NES gamers are graduating college now, and they aren't all living in the same room, let alone same city. Few who play on live do so because it will allow them to play with random losers on the internet.

    "Global" is bad, but thread local is perfectly fine for things like error conditions recent regex matches, etc..
