Can't be half as frustrating as being on the other end trying to find C programmers. I've been searching for months for a C person with a Linux apps focus that can actually program. I've found tons of people with job experience going back to before I could walk that can't even produce FizzBuzz.
The problem is that we're not using polaris anymore. We've switched over to the newer version of PeopleSoft. I really think that whoever made that decision needs to be dragged out into the street and shot. Interestingly, I found out on tuesday that it was the dean that pushed for it.:-/ Oh well.
This is - beyond a doubt - the most amazing piece of software I have ever seen. I never knew this gem was sitting quietly on my hard drive.
At first, I was unimpressed. However, as soon as I saw it animate I was blown away. Of course, when I saw the plane intercept of a 3D function animated, I was visibly giddy.:)
I so wish I had this while in my vector calculus course. In fact, I think I might stop by former professor's office when school is back in session and show him.
As soon as your site recovers from this merciless slashdotting, I think I might pick up version 3.
Step 1: Read example security exploits. Step 2: Develop script to detect. (Simple stuff like evil C functions) Step 3: Develop script to download packages from freshmeat and run previous script. Step 4: Play videogames for a few hours. Step 5: Write reports. Step 6: Profit! (Good grade would be considered profit here)
What's the point of a secondary dns to keep mail working properly if the mail server is probably sitting right next to the primary DNS? If the first location gets whacked, the mail still has no place to go.

IE, Mozilla/Firefox (Gecko), Safari/Konqueror (KHTML), Opera
Agreed. Terrible.
I actually liked that movie. It's better than most video game adaptations. Of course, I never played the game.
You second a motion, not an emotion. /Sorry, pet peeve of mine
Hey, we may not be able to win a football game, but we can cure frickin' cancer, bitches!

If it did ActiveX, yeah, probably.
That's really cool. :)
If you have classic installed, it's in the OS 9 applications folder. Get their OS X version, though. It's way slicker.

And again, wow.

I have one of the original Pentiums as a key chain. (It was one of the ones with the floating point bug that everyone had to throw away anyway)
Yeah, I remember that, too. The two of them were in the basement and introduced cartoons. I think they had a few "guests", too.
University of Central Florida?
You underestimate that degree. I spent 3 years at Penn State, and even though PSU is far more well known than UCF, the program at UCF is far superior.
Well, would be nice until the earth's magama becomes radioactive and then our volcanoes will not only spew hot lava, but radioactive hot lava.
I think he's supposed to be Scottish.
I would rather live with danger, then live without my freedom.
I was wondering why i couldn't get on electoral-vote.com this morning. Thanks slashdot. Now I can't get my daily fix.
Orlando is in Orange county.
HTML is not a programming language. It's a Markup Language. HTML itself does nothing but display text in a pretty way and provide links.

Changelogs are not for the non-techie end user. Putting a pretty face on the changes is the job of your distro.
I've been thinking the exact same thing. This really does explain why they were so irritated with the one picture.
Use the sleep functionality on your laptop. No OS's boot time can beat OSX's wake from sleep time.
I personally never actually power off my laptop, except for when I need to apply a security update.
