Didn't Australia have some anti-smut law that passed not too long ago? If I remember correctly, the law wouldn't let Australian ISPs host adult sites, or let Australian ISPs to host pages that had links to adult sites.
I don't know what the sales numbers are for Nintendo, but it seems that the quality of games that keep coming out gets lower and lower... Have you played that SuperMan game? If so, you know what I'm talking about!
I would be really nice to be able to see who has negatively moderated my posts. My Karma has been dropping, and it would be nice to see who's doing it! If you'd rather not let us know who is negatively moderating us, at least you should let us know what posts are being moderated negatively, so we know what kinds of posts we can expect to be pooped on.
Are there any stories Kafka wrote that were ever made into movies? I've only read a few of Kafka's stories, but really liked them. Just curious if a movie had ever been made out of one of them...
Isn't the plot-line about the conflict between the mother, who cannot love this robotic boy, and this robotic boy's inner struggle with trying to understand why his mother does not love him (because he doesn't know he's a machine)?
That sounds like a lot of humanity there, not machinery.
I agree Kubrick would have made a better movie, and I wouldn't be surprised if Speilberg adds on those infamous two minutes at the end, which says to me, "Hey, in case you are a moron, here's the message I was trying to get across."
I think the last thing we would see would be a Linux distro by MS. MS still makes it's biggest chunk of change with Windows, and Windows ain't going away anytime soon.
MS didn't get to where they are today by selling products that compete with Windows.:)
Enough people think that moderators are biased as it is. Giving moderators the power to delete posts would be disastrous. There are an awful lot of moderators, and I'm sure there are a few bad apples among them, even with all the controls that are established.
That's we we initiate a multi-level tiered program based after popular management styles. We have level 1 moderators. There could be a lot of these, and it is their job to moderate the posts. Then, level 2 moderators, who moderate level 1 moderators. Then, level 3 moderators, and so on, up to Rob and Hemos.
For the sarcastically challenged, this was a sarcastic post.:)
Not only that, but if she started to notice that her son was experiencing mental trauma from seeing Kenny die, why not discontinue the television viewings?
I don't think anyone should tell people what not to study. Everyone should go into college and study what they love doing, not what they think will be easy money...
Hehe, sounds like somebody had an Automata theory class this summer!:-) While you might think CS is a lot of theory and abstract thought disassociated with actual coding, the fact still remains that CS is still an easier route than most other sciences. I have some friends who are math/comp sci. double majors. They find the advanced comp. sci. classes comical, since we comp sci's try to impress ourselves with attempting complex math (for automata theory, algorithm analysis, etc.), but the stuff we cs majors are tackling in our senior years, these math majors had nailed in their sophomore years.:)
I wonder how long it will take before a brave teacher in Kansas teaches his students evolution, is arrested, and goes back to the Supreme Court. I'd really be interested to see that happen....
I think he has the mindset that many folks here do, unfortunately. Need someone or something to rebel against. Hehe, in the 60s kids rebelled by getting high and sharing free love. Today's kids (at least today's geek kids), spend their time dissing MS. Oh well.
First off, the chess game will take months to play. One move a day!? Second, a consensus of chess intermediates will suck compared to a single chess expert. That's why we have elected officials instead of having a popular vote.
I think MS has the capital, though, to drive out those who can charge a lower margin on services out of business. Not too legal, of course, but who's to stop them? The government? HA!:)
Pay for a browser, that's crazy! I'd rather reboot and use IE than pay for Opera. Screw that. For those who say that they would happily pay for a good browser, do you happily pay for a good OS (i.e. Linux)? While you may buy a CD from Red Hat, I think you should all send in a $50 check to Linus himself. There are things that should be free: OS's and browsers!:)
Ahhhh..... Ditka
Hmmmm....

There's some fucked up people out there.
Just out of curiosity, what classes are weedout classes at your school?

Wouldn't that be odd, if your loved one died and his or her body was transplanted to your rich next door neighbor?
I can't get it to work (trying at 1:12 CST) I get a Fobidden, Don't have permissions to access /cgi-bin/ error...

Unfortunately few non-CS women think that they should be dating CS majors!! :(

Get a monitor that can support 1600x1200. :) (I wish I could afford that...)
