Mod parent up!
I have one other suggestion.. Root your beautiful piece of Samsung HARDWARE and replace its software with CyanogenMod which is updated every night and even better than Nexus because it is mostly stock Android but also has a neat feature called Privacy Guard which allows the user fine grained controls over app permissions. There are many more reasons to go this route but I won't go on. This is the best of both worlds IMO and I won't ever go back to Samsung bastardized Android ever.
No, these videos are actually traumatic and society functions better not having been generally subjected to them. If you want to find them they are out there but it serves no purpose to torture the average citizen with the traumatic reality of murder.
All Google needs to do is open source gapps and we're rockin and rollin our own, legally.
BTW - Bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4" and the first thing I did was root it and put CM12. That fixes most problems you have with it as it comes out of the box. Fuck you Samsung.
Yes but there are an assload of companies out there making a shit-tonne of cash using these FOSS programs and not contributing in any way whatsoever. Its a complete disgrace and they should be exposed for the cheapskates they are.
Personally, I am happily married with 2 beautiful kids that my wife and I both decided to have as planned pregnancies. Her cousin OTOH has tried to trap a number of men as have some of her friends.. Its rather disgusting to see such disregard for the life of a child from its own mother, who is attempting to use it for personal financial gain. I'm not suggesting all women behave that way or that no men do anything similar.. Just that the option for a man to control whether his sperm will or won't cause a pregnancy is a great thing for society where it can prevent unwanted pregnancies in this specific case.
How else are they going to keep a man if they can't trap him by 'forgetting' to take their pill? I personally view this as a boon for men who until now, other than condoms, have only had a mostly irreversible surgical procedure to ensure they don't get trapped by some evil wench into a lifetime of torture. Bravo.
While I don't personally disagree with the science on principal (its been shown to be effective for a long time) I would say that science has been wrong in the past. Back on point though, I think though the issue for many is if the science is so sound why don't they promote it that way? The scare tactics only make people suspicious and when big pharm is involved many people's trust levels are automatically lowered from the outset.
I take my car to a mechanic who I trust. I fly with an airline I trust. I take my sick child to a doctor I trust. Oh wait a minute.. My child isn't actually sick yet. However I have a government health organization attempting to scare me into believing that if I don't take some steps that my child will get sick.. Do you not a see the point.. It is all about trust. In fact pretty much everything wrong with government in this era is the lack of trustworthiness so why should it be any different when it comes to the health of your children for fucks sake..
General concerns as to the side effects.. Its risk vs benefit.. How good is this for my child basically. My point is that they spend so much energy just trying to ram it down our throats that it does invoke some sense of suspicion as to the motives. I do think less scare mongering and a more trustworthy demeanor, rationale based promotion would go a long way to improving vaccination rates.
Yea because vaccines suddenly make it impossible to contract the disease
I'm not against vaccination but as a parent x2 let me tell you that public health officials and pharmaceutical companies have not done enough in my view to earn the trust of people who have valid concerns about the health risks associated with today's vaccines.
Instead, we are met with two politically polarized viewpoints and aggressive people on both sides which really doesn't make things any easier. Oh and by the way parents do have a choice.. 'Religious beliefs' is a valid workaround at least in my corner of the world (non-US).
... such as when working remotely or in a place away from distraction. It allows me to prioritize tasks that I need to accomplish vs tasks someone else wants me to do for something they need to accomplish. Mostly though my work is autonomous in nature and doesn't require a whole lot of collaboration. I can see how the open office is essential for teams where work is accomplished in a real time collaborative effort. I hear rumours my employer will soon move to the open office model, would be interestin to see how productivity is affected, for me personally and for the organization as a whole.
I was going to post the same thing but as I was typing I realized they just assume that the drugs are coming in, "unimpeded" now that the have no track of them. But anyway this is FUD which will be used to influence public opinion (which the Brits seem to be generally vulnerable to).
How is this any more/less secure than an ActiveSync over SSL with your own keys though? I don't see the benefit of it. I always thought that as soon as the Android / iOS devices caught up with corporate users needs the Blackberry heydays would be over. It was only a matter of time.
I used a corporate issued BB with hard keys for years. While I agree the error rate is higher on the soft keys, I was most surprised how my thumbs no longer hurt. Also the advantage of being able to use the full screen outweighs the error rate problem. Also I don't buy into BB claims of security. This is complete nonsense as all lawful intercept occurs on the inside of the firewalls in BlackBerry's network. And these days with BB10 they use SSL routed over the public imternet instead of IPSec tunnels routed over dedicated circuits. MEH.
Yes you can. Its called a gun amnesty program and several countries have successfully implemented it. Considering the amount the US spends on policing and defence I'm sure the cost would be insignificant. Its the will of the people to give up their guns that is the roadblock. Its time for the USA to wake up and smell the coffee. You are far behind the rest of the world on this issue and your daily gun crazed madman shooting up your school kids is a direct result of your complacency.

I'm convinced that all these hardline tactics by governments and corporations is only going to fuel a backlash which will be fought in the IETF Working Groups with the goal of end to end encryption and anonymization of all internet traffic. Oh I hope I live to see the day.
Do away with the silly auctions, all that they do is cause the cost to be passed down to the subscribers, which is by definition, a hidden tax. It is much more efficient for everybody and creates better competition amongst providers if the government retains ownership and nationalizes the entire spectrum, and along with it the mobile access network infrastructure, as a wholesaler only. Then, the providers compete with their various offerings, and coverage is efficiently managed with the maximum bandwidth available to any subscriber regardless of the network provider they subscribe to.
The same can be applied to Wireline access networks. This is all in-line with Australia's plans for the National Broadband Network which was a brilliant plan until it was railroaded by conservatives with corporate interests in mind.
The only problem I foresee with this is the cost involved in 'repatriating' the access networks from the incumbent telco's and also complications between retailer and the national wholesaler when it comes to troubleshooting access network issues. Hopefully the government can put this operation out to tender to a competent operator that is not affiliated with any of the retailers in any way.
"However, the major loss due to the "S" is the inability to offer any in-network value added services, that are offered by middle-boxes, such as caching, proxying, firewalling, parental control, etc."... And that is bad? Oh right this is written from the carriers perspective. Personally I would prefer if the would stop DPI'ing all my traffic and doing 'value added' stuff. This is about resisting the dumb pipe scenario. I can think of a Canadian company (who Telefonica happen to be their largest customer) that would find their business model threatened by an all encrypted internet.
IMO, the carrier should have no place looking at the traffic I generate on their network. If I have to encrypt to guarantee it, then let's do it.

Yea but to their credit they have developed some kickass stuff and if they are using your data to generate ads who gives a shit

Stopping global warming.. that's a bit of a stretch don't you think..

Awesome rant dude. Pro tip: Organic certified foods are GMO free since that is part of the certification.

Has first hand experience with how having a gun is NOT effective in most self defense cases. He's also a comic genius.

The blind spot is not related to b pillar etc but a region of the retina that is not sensitive to light and therefore blind.

I'm a business user. I'm also a consumer. Oh look.. Android kills both birds with one phone! BBRY.. FAIL.
