Amazon also has a lot of conveniences that local stores don't. The number of times I have gone to a brick and mortar store looking for a particular book, CD, brand of widget or whatever and it hasn't been in any of the local stores is huge. Especially when it comes to a set of books like a trilogy or something, I can order all three items at once and have them delivered at my house.
A lot of the big sites may be able to deal with paying sales tax in every jurisdiction they have customers, but Dad's Pecan House in BF GA certainly doesn't have that infrastructure and is a huge burden on a small 3 person operation.
So, we know wrestling is pretty much scripted, but how many times do I get home to the TiVo to find that the first 15 minutes of a show I recorded have been taken over by a wrestling "overrun". So I can't even watch the show I recorded anyway because the last 10-15 minutes haven't been recorded for me. Then I have to somehow track a rerun down, if they have one.
Some of the shows I record are in the hope the show will get better eventually, I am looking at you Stargate Universe and Sanctuary, so my motivation to track down a full version of the show to watch is minimal anyway. Sure, I could go online, but I like the lean-back mode of watching TV programs.
That has to be killing some of the ratings as well...
Haven was pretty good this season. I still watch Stargate Universe, but it's a slog. Sanctuary sometimes has some interesting plots that are often implemented poorly.
It didn't help that the show is slow and plodding, and not one of the characters is likable. Where's the lovable characters that just make bad decisions. Instead everyone is lying to everyone else, the story seems to be stuck in the mud and we know that in the end it doesn't matter, as Caprica gets nuked anyway!
Of course, that's not the argument though. The original premise as I read it was that single player campaigns and games were becoming too easy, and the suggested solution was Multiplayer...
Yep, there's nothing more fun than being teabagged by some jerk who has no life or job so they spend 24/7 practising so they can feel their life has meaning when some wage slave logs on to go find some fun for a few hours.
Of course they do, there was a load of negative coverage over Vista, and everyone knew they didn't want it. Then when 7 came out people started moving to it and bitching it wasn't XP.
The point is, all their successes have not been in the enterprise space in the last 10 years. XP sold in droves and EVERYONE wanted it compared to ME. Vista not so much, 7 perked up demand again.
That LG device is awesome! It has a fixed USB connector (was it broken?), and status LED and and internal antenna! How feature rich!

Amazon and newegg and all those sites are just the new catalogue...

Then how do you tell it you are a passenger, or on a bus, in a limo, on a train?
And how do you determine if you are driving, a passenger, on a bus, on a train?
Once a week would be nice. Comcast does it once a day around here
litre
Haven has already been picked up for a second season...
They want to kill humanity because there's a 16 year old girl inside them and they have daddy issues?
This last episode with the alien disease thing taking over Scott and his wedding to Chloe dream was an exercise is tediousness though.
> the whole idea of making a human mind out of essentially a google search sounds extremely stupid
This!
Also, he was in Some Kind of Wonderful, not Breakfast Club

Actually, it happens in the past. BSG was also in the past. Hope I didn't spoil it for you.

There was only one season, they just had a really long mid season break.

There's being good at a game, and then there's being a douchenozzle.
Which is why I don't do MP and objected to it to begin with.
Also, just because you can be a jerk doesn't mean you have to be and blame the game design. Did you miss the teabagging?

I did, my maths teacher taught me that 1,000,000,000 is one thousand million and that 1,000,000,000,000 is one billion.
Ironic, in English, it's 1e12.
American it may be 1e9
Only seven milliard? I thought it was seven billion...
That still isn't censorship. If the government blocked fox, it would be.
