I don't know - I would guess very little if any. The only reference I could find was this, but it's about the Nexus One:
Google is not trying to make a profit on sales of the Nexus, said Rubin. Instead, it's trying to "make sure we have great access to Google services... and the best possible Web experience," he explained. "You buy this and the advertising model takes off."
I don't think the concepts are that hard to grasp - the profit from phone sales pretty much all go to the manufacturer. I'm not sure if you're being deliberately obtuse here?
I can see this definitely being a problem. Scammers, no longer able to simply attempt to guess or crack passwords, begin a meticulous digit amputation scheme. Now neither your data nor your extremities are safe.
Let's just be thankful no one's mentioned retina scans or we'd be a world of cyclopses by 2011.
In Mother Russia prejudice fights you!
I can see that.
"Oh, sorry, I thought that was our footage of the Mars landing. We had a crew there too. Simple misunderstanding, as I'm sure you can understand."
"No need for change - it'll cover the other 199 bulk accusations you made that were equally unfounded."
What if I say I'm going to push the Earth into a black hole?
I'm up for it - let's start a club.

Let me rephrase...
Google do not manufacture devices. The moment an iPhone is sold Apple makes a good chunk of profit, when an Android phone is sold Google gets nothing.
Or the fact Google doesn't sell phones?
Cool. Then I've got a load of second hand MP3s to sell. Anyone interested?
To be fair, I don't remember Newton ever suing someone for falling over.
You probably need to swing your hips more. There's a lot in the rhythm.
I think the point that is being made is:
A) BBC is owned by the British Public.
B) Some of the British public is not happy with how it is doing business.
We're not talking about consumer rights. We're talking about shareholders' rights.
Yeah. That's 'cos you're a cunt.
QED.
So is cunt. As in "You are a cunt".
+1 insightful.
Weirdest, I believe.
Well that explains Facebook.
I think it's a joke. The ridiculous comparison makes it funny.
I don't know about you but I keep my email downloaded on my computer.
Me too. Google Gears.
I was being preposterous for comic effect. The effect was obviously minimal.
you could just scan your finger.
And when someone decides to cut your finger off?

Jeez, slow down. Can we get Iran and North Korea out of the way before we move on to Ethiopia? All this regime change is making me dizzy.
Still, it seems to be working.
And did you put this device in to orbit?
I don't even know who your grandmother is. Organising psychiatric care for her would be a logistical impossibility.
Yeah, I didn't really think that one through. I stand corrected.
