    I think for years they have been funneling the government cheese into building up their Wireless offerings because it is largely unregulated and costs less to maintain.

    I don't see them expanding local broadband coverage in my area at all.

    Ask Cisco what happened when they outsourced hardware production.

    That apple hanging in Bezos' tree just waiting to be plucked is too big of a temptation, it's not an if it's a when.
    Problem is by the time it is discovered it will be too late Bezos will have already sniffed and slurped, game over.
    And Bezos will be sitting pretty, the corps will line up to service him so he will allow them to manage what will then be his companies.

    The bean counters that started all this won't care, they have inflated their parachutes and moved on.

    I grow weary of all the AI references that exist in todays world.

    Every time the term is used it further reinforces that it must exist.

    This is fake news.

    AI does not exist.

    I don't expect that AI will really be welcomed as it will have problems with all the lies being told every day.
    It will either have a melt down because of all of the lies, or those that would potentially be exposed as liars will not allow it.
    Politicians and Lawyers will instantly be out of a job, I don't see that happening.

    The invention of the GUI and mouse to the extreme liability of putting a driverless car on the streets.

    It's dangerous enough out there driving sober, or being a pedestrian.

    So if there were actual health concerns I will be exposed at work and what about the folks with property adjacent to commercial locations where towers are allowed? How do you keep the RF from crossing zoning boundaries?

    I think this is about money,
    This effectively diverts the income stream from site leases to only those with commercial property.

    Too bad for the people who want bitchen 5G coverage.

    And it sucks for the residential property owners loss of possible income.

    That is not how it works for cars, if there is something wrong with a car they recall it.

    This aligns with M$'s intended income path and converts a product that was paid in full for into a subscription.
