I'd say 99% of people I've met in my life can tell what hate speech is when they read it.
And 99% of Muslims believe that showing a depiction of Mohammad is hate speech. And 99% of Christians believe that openly mocking or attacking Jesus is hate speech.
So may I presume that both of those will be banned as clear cases of hate speech?
There are only about 50,000 TOTAL ARRESTS a year in Baltimore. So for every 16 arrests, there is one Stingray use?? They must be regularly tapping the phone of everyone even suspected of being a felon in the fucking city.
noone will be able to buy the stuff made in the robot factories if we're all unemployed or minimum wage serfs.
We'll just export it all to the counties where the unions and government actually protect their workers and put the long-term common good of the people ahead of powerful corporations' profits for the next quarter.
That's a nice idea, but the reality is usually that the rich people just move away when the poor people come in (especially the ones with families). No way are rich daddy and trophy wife letting their little girl go to school with that rabble!

Not to be cynical, but it sounds more like a bargaining ploy to me. I suspect he's more interested in having the city back down in fear and let him build a studio than actually helping the poor.
First of all, I would just like to say that I applaud this move on the part of the L.A. school district. In the spirit of these groundbreaking projects, I would like to propose a similar measure here in Alabama that would help advance learning among our students as well. My new initiative would launch a series of White-only and Black-only schools that would better serve to the individual needs of students and help them to feel more comfortable in schools where they can feel free to speak freely and learn in a less hostile environment.

Rape and death threats were already banned (and are, in fact, illegal). This sounds way broader than that.
