So let's see...Congress doesn't recycle money back to the states to prevent fraud and the progressives say that's how we get Trump. States try to enact voter ID laws to prevent fraud and the progressives say it's a dog-whistle that doesn't exist. Weird.
Sure, but the existing law was intended to prohibit firearms that were undetectable by metal detectors. IIRC, it has to have at least four ounces of metal to be legal, leading to makers actually adding a chunk of metal whose sole purpose was weight. The bullet and firing pin just aren't enough.
Because the issue is rooted in the first and second amendments, thus negating any tenth amendment claim. The tenth just says that the federal government only has those powers stated in the Constitution and everything else is up to the states.
Well-regulated at the time simply meant functioning normally, not the current administrative-state definition in use today. In other words, people were expected to be proficient with their guns.
It would also be far better if we had actual journalists who knew their shit, instead of 27 year olds who uncritically accept a narrative. I'd expect journalists to all questions, not be simply the extension of the Democrat public affairs office.

DACA was initially rejected by POTUS as beyond his authority. But he saw the flagging numbers in the 2012 election and did it anyway, knowing that court challenges would be resolved after the election. There are already conditions for declaring asylum but hey, what are a few bribes to stand in the way of vote-seekers who try to ensure a permanent underclass?
I think the risk of litigation is what killed the citizen-park projects. There was a case a few months ago where folks went on their own to install a wheelchair ramp at their park. The city tore it down because it hadn't gone through the proper process.
It's worse than that. It's gotten to the point where if someone gets called a nazi, it's because they've irritated some Red Guard who thinks they must be Silenced, and therefore probably has something interesting to listen to. It doesn't mean they're a nazi.
Smashing it is a bit of an overstep
Three words: PC Load Letter.
This is where people like to say "But...but...if it saves the life of one child/seal/polar bear/delta smelt, it's worth it!"
"Global Warming" (It's called Climate Disruption now)
Just like "Comcast" is now "Xfinity" and for much the same reason.

As long as it's a problem, they can campaign on it and/or raise taxes to "address the crisis" or "conduct a study"
Yawn. They always say that. It never happens, of course, but it doesn't stop them screeching.
Because Washington state's AG Ferguson is trying to establish his bona fides for a gubernatorial run.

They tried banning crypto and lost back in the 90's. They'll lose again here, too.

It's prior restraint, something that the courts deeply frown upon.
The Ministry of Truth thanks you for your support.
Literally the first Google hit.
Kinda like that whole "fake but accurate" thing a while back.

"If it bleeds, it leads" is the media's motto and few things bleed more than the Two Minutes Hate over the latest POTUS tweet.
I would. Comcast has been very good to us since 2009. There were a couple of hiccups, but they bent over backwards to fix it.

"My ISP sucks and is run by idiots? Why, thank you Big Brother! I would never have realized this without your benevolent watchful eye!"
I'm so old, I remember when "dissent is the highest form of patriotism" was a bumper sticker. Then Obama got elected and they mysteriously went away.
A Deus Ex reference! Outstanding!
