  1. Re: Hah! on Perfect Coin-Toss Record Broke 6 Clinton-Sanders Deadlocks In Iowa (marketwatch.com) · · Score: 3, Interesting

There are 2^6 possible ways the coin tosses could have gone down (eg toss A for hillary, toss B for bernie, etc). Of these 64 scenarios, only one results in Hillary winning all six tosses. Thus the odds are 1/64.

Compare this to a scenario in which each party wins exactly three of the six flips. Of the 64 possible scenarios, twenty of them result in a 3-3 split (you can write it all out to confirm). so the odds of a 3-3 split are 20/64.

So the odds of hillary winning all six coin tosses are 20 times less likely than the odds of a 3-3 split! she basically won the lottery (or somebody had their thumb on the scale).

  2. this is basically the new cotton gin, the mechanical device that reduced labor on the cotton farm and made events like the abolition movement practical. how will it change america's relationship with the migrant farmworker population, and how does that intersect with all the calls to Build A Wall, etc? What happens when you put millions of low skilled laborers out of work? It will be exciting times!

do you really need evidence on this? I think it's safe to assume. when the sun sets, it's safe to assume that it is still illuminating other parts of the planet. it's unlikely it has extinguished itself completely.

Congress would spend most of its time dispensing with his vetoes, defunding any department he tried to turn to whatever idiotic or evil plan (if you can call what he does "planning") he had in mind.

why woudl you think this? repubs own both halves of congress, and while I don't think they'll go in for his most radical stuff, they're not going to outwardly challenge or overrule him.

this is not a long term issue

this is in no way true. according to google trends, the hillary email topic first spiked in March of last year. 11 months later, it's still making national headlines, even though there hasn't been any indictments or real news of any kind. there's only 8 more months until the election, and this will probably drag on way beyond this.

What a load of garbage. There is no evidence.

It doesn't matter if she's convicted, or even if she's guilty or not. the republican candidate will make sure that this is the only thing that people talk about, and she'll never get to have a conversation about why people should vote for her. it will dominate news and conversations, and suffocate her message.

First off, Hillary had a privately owned server. She owned it, not the government.

yes, this is the most important part. she stored her emails in a likely insecure manner that was likely not up to the requirements of an email server that stored classified material (because, if it were, it would have been a pain in the ass to use which is why she switched to a private server in the first place). Even though no emails leaked snowden-style, I assume she was owned by every single country on earth.

it's likely a crime to even store this material in an insecure manner, which is what she did.
