Hexagons are rare in nature.... Not at a molecular level....
I wonder if fluid dynamics ( as it may or may not be applicable to a quantum electron cloud ) may be another way to look at the way molecules take their shapes?
Rather than think of valence bonds and such, but rather see it as a "blob" of energy that is doing something similar as these experiments show on a small level? The fact that the sides are geometric, is another form of discreet math, as shows up in string theory as well..
I am old and my brain does not work as good anymore but seems to me something is here....
We all know that the Apollo program was a hoax. It was all filmed in the Nevada Desert... But who let the Russians come to Nevada in the 70's? Now I really am scared... I thought they were our enemies then.. but apparently they were in on the hoax....
It is amazing what is going on. I personally don't care myself, If I get scanned or patted down. But I can imaging a a few folks who might. Pre-Op Transexuals for one.
I bet we catch more of those preops than terrorists with this new technology.
Linden Scripting would be fun for the kid and it follows good programming syntax. Visuals? Not bad in Second Life. Just keep him out of the Adult Areas, or he won't do any programming;)
"The data is uploaded to the server via wi-fi in blocks of 1,000 rolls."
Then:
"When the server has enough rolls in the bank to last for a few weeks (I am currently storing a million or so), the conveyor shuts down until needed again. It runs for maybe 1.5 hours total each day."
Somehow get the Wi-Fi blocks then find out where the rolls are being used: ( Online Casino? ) Compare rolls to realtime results and CHEAT the casino! Woo woo!
Well, you can get the same effect by strapping on a scuba tank and going down to about 215 feet or so. Then you would not need the "snorkel". However the CD or game component probably would not work.
Google did nothing wrong. However I am smiling for some reason. Something about even a miss directed desire for privacy tells me perhaps we as a race will still be okay in the future.
It seems to me using computers to process oodles of information could introduce stuff that really isn't there. Like random number generators of the past that actually show patterns when graphed three dimensionally or two dimensionally.
Maybe it is just bug in the CPU's of said systems manifesting regularly when analyzing the data sets...
There is nothing more annoying than a sterile drummer who follows a click track. Drums, and as far as I am concerned all instruments, should "breath" in the rhythm. For lack of a better word, I like rock that "swings". i.e. Van Halen's Alex or John Bonham OVER Neil Pert. ( YES I SAID IT! Nerd's leave me alone! )
If your metronome is of the wind-up pendulum variety put a couple coins under one side. It will then "swing" a little.
If it is the electronic kind... throw it away.
ALSO don't use "QUANTIZE" on your midi stuff. It sucks the life out of a song.
"Oh, and memo to the music industry: Please start backing and producing music that doesn't suck, k? We're sick to death of the crap you've been turning out lately."
Truer words have not been typed into a computer keyboard!
It's not perfect by any means but the WayBack machine on Archive.Org can find some pretty old stuff. Scary stuff too. Like that time I was into...... er forget it...
Plus if the Whitehouse doesn't get your fancy... there is tons of Grateful Dead Music there as well.
Not as long as I.....
Is driving this change of heart for Microsoft.
2182 - 2010 = 172 years
Subtract 42 ( Life the universe and everything ) And you get 130 ( Hold this thought )
In 1951, Bobby Thomson hit the "Shot heard round the world" (i.e The Asteroid)
Against the Brooklyn Dodgers...(i.e Earth trying to "dodge")
Take 1951 and turn it into a repeating Decimal .1951951951........ ( this is wrong but who cares )
Then take the above 130 and divide by the repeating decimal and you get....
666 !
".....single odd exception of the 403 area code of southern Alberta."
Add 808 to that exception...

Be very afraid!

From the article:

Yes, I know, It would be hard but not impossible.
Remove the Wi-Fi link is all I am saying.

April 1st was a month and 20 days ago.
I actually had to check.
This has to be a joke.
Any use of this device would be misuse in my opinion.
I would love for the new Star Trek crew to run smack into the Red Dwarf. Who needs Klingons when you have Lister?
"We may need to seek them out and destroy them where they live."
Tony Soprano must own this drug company in Australia.
Or kinda of Bush-Cheney-ish.
"Fight them there so we don't have to fight them here"
Someone tell me why this is different than a police sting operation looking for johns or pedophiles?
The police never get in trouble for this exact behavior.
Perhaps the "perp" could call it a citizen sting operation.

George Orwell RIP.
I, for one, think the horses should pony up and pay. Musicians need the cash.

The regularity would "seem" like a new particle.
Just a thought....
But that Barbara Alvarez from Fermilabs is my kind of geek hottie!

Finally! A chance to catch up to my friends from Heaven's Gate. And with this economy, perfect timing! All I need is $5.75 and a bottle of vodka.

How does me, querying the database, INCREASE the carbon footprint?
Can anyone explain?
