Doom3 should definately be written in LogoWriter, cause that kicked ass back in day...wait, even better, I'll make a LogoWriter mod for it! it'll be sweet!
not a huge story, just a few of the #slackware people (mostly the ones who actively help people) when to oftc.net because of lilo's bitching on opn.net.
#slackware is allready splitting, and it appears #kernelnewbies has allready left too...... lilo' really needs to quit whinning and at least attempt to get a real job.
Here's a good question for all you FreeBSD guru's, semi-guru's, and people smarter than I. I installed my current FreeBSD machine with FreeBSD 4.4 a year or two ago, and have been cvsup'ing and make buildworld'ing to keep -stable. When I did the installation, I chose to install XFree86 3.3.6, and so it does not show up in/var/db/pkg. Now I want to remove 3.3.6 from the system and install XFree86 4.2.0 from ports. Finally for the question....
How can I remove XFree86 3.3.6 from FreeBSD 4.2.6 since there is no entry in/var/db/pkg?
I was about to recomend my MPTrip, which is also a cd mp3 player, before I re-read the question. He wants something he can jog with, and trust me, you can't jog with a cd player, no matter how many seconds of anti-skip it claims to have.
I've played vcds and svcds on mine before and after flashing the bios. Mine even says vcd on the front of the actually player, maybe they've changed the newer models?
Yeah, I've got to second that. I picked up a AD1100-W with the 1MB rom from walmart a couple months ago, and it's great. It's easily flashable to region- and macrovision- free, and it plays anything I through at it. Definately check out the nerd-out forum on how to find a 1MB rom version.
Hehe, yeah, you do have to know what some of the terms most of the resturants here use, which can be confusing if you didn't grow up with them. That, and the people in OK are trying to make up for something:-)
Americans and Britans are separated by one thing, a common language.
That WOULD be absurdity! I recently bought the clerks special edition DVD, and you know what? it looks exactly the same as the 100mb.asf of it I downloaded 3 years ago on efnet.
well, count me and all my neighbors as those few still recieving television over the air. We live to far out in the sticks for catv, to many trees for satelite tv, and we're close enough to St. Louis to get 7 channels over the air pretty clear. I see no reason to cut down trees just to put up a satellite to recieve 70+ channels I don't want/need.
because (as other threads have pointed out), the whole point of this is for the FCC to get the analog spectrum back so that they can re-sell it for something to the order of $15-$18 billion dollars to the phone companies.
agreed, if you want to have fun, go with nintendo, they've never steared me wrong. As long as you don't have a fetish for running people over you'll be happy you did. Super Monkey Ball is one of the best games I've played on the current systems, and Super Mario Sunshine is looking to be fantastic (or so I've read on import review sites).
Well lets see, I've got CDex version 1.3b8 which is serveral years old right here.... this neoaudio thing is brand new. I'd be willing testify it wasn't the other way around. besides, even the vesion's of neoaudio are that of CDex. ALL they did was change the name and ad spy/adware
Did anyone notice the neoaudio screenshot? They didn't even bother to change the CDex screenshot. I've been using CDex for years, and it's sad to see some moron try to pass it off as his own work.
See, that's just the think, this was caught because the md5 IS kept in a separate location. The md5 in the freebsd ports tree didn't match the that of the file the guy was trying to build, which was downloaded from openssh.org
Re:How many people do check the MD5 checksum?

Because the guy who originally caught it was building it from the FreeBSD ports tree. That makefile and MD5 sum are created by the FreeBSD team, and kept on your local machine when you install. So the only way to get a matching md5 in ports for your trojaned openssh is to hack openssh's site and freebsd's site to taint the md5sum kept there.
actually, the original poster is correct, 256+652 IS 908, not quite sure how you got 808
yes, I use FAMP on my server, but it just doesn't sound as cool as LAMP...maybe that's because it's not a word.

thank you, perhaps this should be documented and added to either the faq or handbook too?

none of which came from AOL, but was purchased by AOL and allowed to live for the time being.

Yes, they are made for either the lard-asses, or people like myself, 6'2", 200lbs., and able to bench press a couple of you :-)
yes, the 30Liter bottle was a joke. it was full of sarcasm, published in 1996, and on theonion.com!

the "based on cdex" and "based on gnucleus" wasn't there a few hours ago. besides, it's not "based" on them, it is them with the names changed.

d'oh! gotta start using preview. what I meant to say was they didn't bother to change the CDex version number.

thing even. damn I need to start hitting preview.
