Let me get this straight - if you were halfway through digging a hole when you figured out it was the wrong place, you'd not stop and do it right but keep right on digging??? WTF?!? The sooner we give up, the fewer people get shot and the quicker it ends. Time To Quit.
Apple - "just an OS company with crappy hardware." M$ - Great mice, keyboards and lovely trackballs. And Vista. Ah well! An marriage made in....? Naaaah!
Background tasks (such as the weather forcast downloader and the traffic alerts on my Treo) don't flatten the battery noticable more than before. Why does the iPhone get neutered?

My sister had a Win 3.1 machine with WP 5.1 on. She used it for everything. Including editing AUTOEXEC.BAT... "But the example had all the keywords in bold, and I can't do that in notepad."

My boss was trying to use Excel from Office 2007 - paste some text in a cell and align center. After half an hour he gave up and called tech support down (=me). If a guy who lives in Outlook and IE can't do that, it's a failure.
More like the authorities arm and fund them. This technology doesn't catch terrorists - never has and never will - it doesn't even try to, it's just good for moving tax dollars into "security industry" profits. Much cheaper in the short and the long term just to not fund "freedom fighters"(=terrorists) in the first place.
And some more anecdotal evidence... Running 10.5 on a MacBook since ~3 days after release. 2 kernel panics. Both times while running TimeMachine over wireless to an AFP share on a Thecus 2100. Wireless? FS layer?? Me enabling unsupported devices in TimeMachine??? Overall, wouldn't go back, but still feels a bit "NT4sp0"
Such an icon would have limited applicability. Anything concerning the the RIAA could still contain the "foot" part, but the "gun" would have to be large and belt fed.
Prison is meant to serve 3 purposes: 1) Vengance. (What's justice but a moderation of revenge to sane levels?) 2) Protection. (It's hard to do a crime when you're doing time. And deterrence is protection, too.) 3) Rehabilitation. ('Nuf said.) Sometimes these conflict. In the case of murder, usually society needs protection from future offenders, rather than past ones. So the terms for murderers are long as a deterrence. In the case of this granny, deterrence is weakened if someone is seen to "get away with it".
I don't mind iTunes. I do mind the upgrade from the carefully hand-selected version to the latest-and-greatest that crashes on load.
At least the "Thip, crinkle, spoit." Setting defaults to something sane. Thanks, Apple!
Stealing, is it? Just how many copies of OSX for PCs vanished from Apple's warehouse? None? That's right, EULA disobedience is not stealing.
Much easier to write a list of mail servers which are configured properly. At 66 lines per page, I'd reckon on about 5 sheets.

Yes. Every time. Just to give the religious a taste of how irritating door-to-door evangelicals are.
*fx247,76 (break key now causes a crash)
*fx101,1 ( disable all keys other than break)
Is the long promised OSX version out yet? Or still vapourware???
Head? Ass? For politicians these converge...

Video wasn't in ring 0 until NT4. Good for a workstation - lousy for a server.
Block it all - let the market sort it out.

Can't use U238 for fuel. It's all being shot into Iraqi trucks. Once the oil runs out we'll have to go back to dig the spent rounds up again.

What we need is for CD makers that *don't* use DRM to get together and make a "MP3 friendly" logo.
That's the problem, Microsoft couldn't release a perfect OS if you paid them.

Can I put in a request for a "maximize" button?
(It can just go in where the "randomly muck up the size-and-placement" button is now.)
