Create a watertight storage safe with - say - a Raspberry Pi and a bunch of USB disks. Connect it with power and ethernet wiring. Bury it six feet deep in your crawl space. Hope that the Raspberry SD card doesn't get corrupted.
It's really quite simple. Everything that distinguishes a man from a woman and a woman from a man is sexualized. Women have breasts, men don't so breasts are sexualized and men tend to prefer larger breasts (within reason).
Men tend to be taller than women so tallness has become part of the male sexualization. It is considered more attractive (again, within reason).
When with a few tiny changes you open up whole avenues of functionality that hadn't been conceived before. Sometimes you get that and it gives me immense pleasure. It opens up potential your code didn't have earlier.
Am I babbling or does that ring a bell for anyone?
He could, but it's quite possibly harder to stab someone you know while looking him in the eye than it is to lock a door and point the nose of the plane down. Who knows what a suicidal person thinks?
You're missing the point. The value in the lottery ticket is that it opens up possibilities for daydreaming. You just made that daydream even more entertaining. Ever seen the TV series Fargo? Guy finds a bag of money, builds a grocery imperium and gets visited by a crook. Seems like you could even make lots of money by turning it into a TV series!
I thought of that decades ago. In fact I even thought one step further. I figure I could also fantasize about finding a bag full of money on the street. Or finding a lottery ticket that would win the lottery. That's about as unlikely as buying a ticket and winning the lottery and it's free!
They push the buttons of everyone, hence the lack of reaction from Marine Le Pen. The Le Pen family has been the target of their cartoons more than anyone. So has the catholic church (hardly a minority).
"He could perhaps be proud of coming out if it took some courage or there was some barrier to overcome,"
Don't underestimate how hard it is for a child to come out with their homosexuality. I imagine every homosexual (even in my famously enlightened country - Holland) goes through a seriously difficult phase of self acceptation.
I recently had a high school reunion. I noticed that all the gay kids had not come out until after they left school. They must have known they were gay, but they all kept it quiet. Puberty is hard enough as it is, having to come to terms with your own being different must be pretty hard. Probably reason enough to turn your shame into pride.
Pride, also in the face of all those who still feel you should be ashamed.
Now this is just data, but what if this kind of thing gets used for real ransom demands? Like kidnapping someone's child and demanding ransom in bitcoin. Is it feasible that one could get away with that?
Wouldn't that be the death of TOR and bitcoin? I mean I'm all for privacy but not if it facilitates kidnapping.
I've always lived the idea that you create your own job. I started out as a nearly invisible young programmer. Now after 27 years I've come to the point that I've created a whole software eco-system around me. My importance in the institution where I work has risen accordingly.
You basically have a choice of finding the right job or creating your own in this business.
I've seen it around before. There could also be a market for airplane models that light up when a similar plane is ovehead. Say a 747 model that lights up whenever a 747 is near. There are plenty of websites that track planes.
Neither did I on my catchall. I was able to login (after resetting my PW) and revive my 8 year old account. Second time they went through this rebirthing thing me thinks.
There are possibly some hybrid scenario's conceivable in which an auto-automobile (how about calling them a2mobiles?) could serve a very useful intermediary purpose.
Highway driving is much simpler and much more tiring than city driving, so that could be an easy win. Especially with dedicated lanes for a2mobiles, the programming thing could become almost as easy as programming an elevator.
Yeah, I agree. The mix of computers and humans is probably a recipe for disaster. I've seen many a software package attempt to figure out what I want or intend to do and they usually get it wrong. Now imagine a computer trying to predict the actions of a mix of human and computer vehicles...
I wouldn't pay to backup my (non-home) movies, but I would pay to backup my music documents and photo's which is under 1TB.
An external hard disk on premises is too risky. You could wipe it out during a backup operation. You could lose both the original and the copy in a flood, burglary or fire. Off-site backup is essential IMHO. And a colo server with 1TB+ storage is not really cheap.
That's not how you do online marketing. Try this:
The first 26 pages of Neal Stephenson's new bestseller were *leaked* to the internet!
That's work much better...

There's another one:

A cargo plane, and the crew were able to overcome the suicidal maniac.

Gladstone Gander does it all the time.

This is freedom of speech paired with freedom of religion *and* freedom from persecution rolled in one issue.
Your Obama cartoon is just plain old racism.

So it's a hype?
Who would have thought that!
Cryptal is nice, with one L.
Chryptal is probable taking it a bit too far.
That's what I was thinking.

Kind of a counter-NSA. If they can read our mail why shouldn't we read theirs? I can't help feeling a tingle of sympathy.
Think of it as a piece of interactive art to dazzle your visitors with and it suddenly seems like a really good deal.

"I think this is a cause of the depression rather than a result of it."
Third possibility: it *is* the depression.

Right, too many future of battery stories but we're still stuck with the same old stuff.
Long lasting batteries are great but not as important as lower cost and higher capacity to weight ratio...
Never attribute to incompetence what can be adequately explained by competitivenes:
The noise you hear is from the Mercedes S-Class driving behind it trying to keep up.
